thanks guys(btw its a 115hp sohc)
Ha ha passenger...no. We are hitting 150km on 2 of those turns so if you are a passenger you need to be holding the handle.
si seat head rest...yes.The back of the seat is loose(aren't they all) so under braking you can see the camera move forward then when I get on the gas the camera moves up.But its pretty good considering I just shoved it in there.
But its in the head rest TIGHT I was afraid it would crack the case but I guess those sony cams are pretty tough.
yeah I passed the yellow R...I passed the white R but then he got me on the straight again and again and again. The RSX, well I can catch him in the corners but then once he get on the straight he kills me. Here is the thread about the rsx

nice vids everyone,
Driven - where abouts was your cam mounted during the first race???
Driven - where abouts was your cam mounted during the first race???
I use to duct tape it in the passenger side headrest (only works with Si seats)
"The sound seems to be a bit off on the videos?"
I don't understand?...could be because I use a dazzle video tool
( http://www.dazzle.com/main.html )to put the video from video camera to the computer ,the video goes through the usb connection and the audio goes straight from the camera to the mic jack in the computer>2 different paths.
The camera has a firewire deal but I don't have firewire on my computer.

i've had the same problem with some of my videos (you can tell during parts of the video i created...near the end).
I could be wrong...but it seems like maybe half a second slow. You're taking great lines, but the sound says you're accelerating late (which i don't think the case is).
it's probably the usb connection?

I know what delay you are talking about...yeah I found that too...its not a nice thing to hear then you start to critique yourself. For me I notice a lot of the shifts seem out of place too.
"it's probably the usb connection?"
I don't know...could be my computer too, when I try to record raw video it turns it into huge meg and my computer isn't the most powerful so everything goes to **** and shuts down.

damn nice job 89civicdx!!! Very nice photage. Good to see you picking on the ITR's a little hehe. Biggest I can claim to was running farily even with a newest bodystyle prelude, granted in the turns i was doin alright for myself...but the 2.2 is a freakin rocket in a straight line. I was also curious aside from your motor what kinda suspension and brakes do you run?
And for anyone who has a Si and wants to build a cheap head rest camera mount with destroying your orginal headrest. Go find 2 bolt about 4+ inches long. Bolts should be the same diameter as the two post on your headrest. Then get a small farily thick metal plate. Mark off the 2 holes where your orginal headrest post would go into, and drill them out on the plate. Slide the bolts down into the plate holes, if you have access to a welder then tack them in there, this secures them the best. Then drill a hole somewhere in the middle of the plate so you can attach your camera. Its a little getto, but if you saw out a little of the bolt on the one side, you can actaully use the headrest locking mechnism to lock your camera mount in place so the only way it will come out is if you hold down the button on the seat. Mine is getto has hell but it works and is quite stable. I usually have to race with the seat in the full upright position to get it just level enough. Also sometimes i'll use a bit of duct tape just to keep the side to side & front to back movement to a minimal. Course next year i'm shooting for a roll bar in my car so I probaly won't need mine anymore hehe.

Alright, since I commented, i better contribute now hehe.
At our new local racetrack (Beaver Run for you PA people), they have a 0.9 mile go kart course used for shifter karts. Well when they had a sort of open house autocross there, they let the cars race on it for a little bit. It was alot like a normal autocross cuz you never left 2nd gear but you went up and down alot more. Sorry if the quailty is a little low my friend took it with his digital camera, Enjoy!
