Skunk2 didnt supply any instructions so im not sure exactly which order everything goes. heres a pic, is everything in the right order? and where does the shifter link(fork thing) go.

 

The shift linkage goes on that bolt, just like stock. If you haven't been under your car yet, have a look and you'll see exactly how to do it.

i was just wondering if the washers went against the bearings or what. and which side does the spacer go?

 

the spacer can go on either side, it doesn't matter.

This shifter is great!!! My previous shifter was a B&M it was nice, but it rattled and was a little short for my taste. I would have to lean into it to shift. This skunk2 is perfect, the double bend puts the *** right where you want it. Shifts are very clean. The throws are a tad longer than the B&M but not noticeable. And the skunk2 *** makes it glide right into gear. I give it

 

Are there any rattles?

Is there a plastic piece that goes over the shift linkage bolt?

My B&M has the bare bolt going through the shifter.

 

i just got back from driving for a few miles and no rattles so far, havent taken it on the freeway so i dont know 100%, but so far so good. it uses a bare bolt. im not sure what plastic part your talking about though

 

Wow nice clean car man How does the skunk2 shifter compare to the stock shifter? I love the way my stock shifter shifts but shortening the throws couldn't hurt either.

i think overall the skunk2 is a big imporvment over stock. polyurathane bushings also help a bunch

 

im giving up my B&M for the skunk2 shifter. if anyone wants a B&M edge let me know
