Finally got the mods done. He didn't do it quite the way I wanted it but it will work. Beggars can't be choosers I guess. My schedule is pretty full until after Xmas so probably won't get a chance to try it until late next week. I've waited this long a few more days won't kill me.

i didnt see it mentioned so...

wouldnt it further eliminate heat being transfered from the IM to the TB and thus little heat is directly transfered by a from a direct source/touch to the CAI pipe.
( other than engine bay heat )

ArchAngel Sabastion, I modified a Helix Power Tower that was "supposedly" a bolt on. It wasn't but it is now.

 

They work on conventional TBI too but I couldn't find any hard data as to the Honda injection setup which isn't TBI but uses a throttle body to control air flow so I figured I'd try it for myself. We shall see, I doubt I'll see any difference but it was buggin' the hell out of me to know.

nice, i think a TB gasket made something similar to the hondata IM gasket material would reduce intake temps

Well, haven't had a chance to install yet, we are now a 3 PC home since Xmas and good ol' Dad ( aka "Evil Stepfather" LOL ) being the "system administrator" has been pretty busy. Just about have all the PC stuff done so I hope to get before and after pics of the posted and then out to the garage Sat. to do the dirty deed. I'll keep you posted.
