Default 97 R #s

I am curious who on this board has the highest USDM 97 R # and who has the highest Canadian (CDM) 97 R #. Or the highest you may have seen (friend etc.).

I have a CDM 97 and my # is 469.

Hmmm.....Victor.......fallen prey to some cult fetish of ITR numerology......I just hope you don't lose all your marbles before the season starts....

Scott, who sold his console.....but did scratch down the number somewhere (just in case.....you never know).....

Whoa #469 is high for a 97'. Im #171 here. There were supposed to be a total of 480 97's, of which were divided 318 to the U.S. and 162 to canada. So I'm guessing 480 is the highest.

Not really obsessed with the #s. I was just re-reading an old GRM article on "factory racers" and they mentioned that about 350 were brought into the US. I know that our #s for US and Can were sequential and being that I have #469 I figured that I have one of the later ones for sure. It doesn't really matter and I know it has been re-hashed a few times.

From my records, I had my neighbor with 97 # 510, but it was stolen and then considered totalled. He was the highest US 97, anyone knew of. As for the Canadian 97's, I have listed 13 97's ranging from #391 to # 479 out of a total of 18 Canadian 97 R's. The second highest US 97 R was #377, but again DECEASED. That brings 97 #374 as my highest on my list so far...

Thanks,
Victor Perri II

So there seems to be 2 R's mentioned here that are above #500 and are USDM cars. So the cars went from #3 (mentioned but maybe lower) to #380 or so in the US and then the Canadian #s up to at least #479 (again, mentioned here) and then we have the 2 cars mentioned that are above #500. Were these cars brought in later because of demand or actually early 98's possibly? Interesting!
