well i hit a local event we had here and ran the same setup as before,the on ly change was i upped the shot to a 60 shot and it was pretty cool out there and here is the outcome

thats pretty bad *** man. im getting my d16 rebuilt in a couple of weeks and im getting it bored over to a 1.8 and getting a skunk 2 stage 2 or stage 3 cam put in. i have greddy evo exhaust, aem short ram intake, spoon spark plugs and wires. i plan on getting a greddy turbo and intercooler w/ a rfl blow off valve this summer and im getting a port and polished intake manifold off of a y8 for x-mas from my parents. can't wait.

umm those are some nuts cams to put in with a turbo kit.... good luck

i was gonna just get some nitrous but then one of my friends offered to sell me his turbo setup off of his car for a grand, so i figured i'd take it because i'd rather have power all of the time rather than when i push a button and i know i would use it all the time.

 

it's in a 92 cx

 

what would u suggest then, maybe a stage 1? im gonna get a new one anyways b/c i'm doing a full rebuild on the motor and i would rather have one better than stock.

So what do you run without the slicks?

Anyone can go fast with slicks..a 3 liter Geo can run low 15s with them...street tires are where its at.

You dont pull up to someone and yell..let me put my slicks on first!

I had NO idea slicks made such an impact. I'm going to have to research this because if this is the difference in beating my friend who has a GSR hatch (also a couple other mods), than I am there for sure

This quote is kind of throwing me for a loop. There is NO way in hell slicks would make my 98 LX fast. It's just slow and something I had to deal with.

 

He runs low 13's without them iv'e seen him run he's fast without um.

 

well the car ran on a 50 shot on street tires a 14.0 and on slicks a 13.6,but remember the car has the abilitly to run 12's,it doesn't matter if it's on street tires or slicks ,the only thing that the slicks do is help in getting traction thats it
