Default h22's with a upgraded flywheel

does ur car sometimes struggle to engage and make sounds like the car is already running and ur trying to start it up? i tired replacing the starter but it still made the same sound....what could be the problem? the flywheel itself?

This is a know issue with a lot of lightened flywheels. I have a Fidanza flywheel and have the same issue. It's because the teeth on the starter doesn't line up properly with the teeth on the flywheel. I've heard the solution is to file down the teeth on the starter or the flywheel itself. I don't know anyone that has actually done this or seen the results of something like this.

It's funny, not everyone's does this but it's very common. My friend has the Fidanza and no problems at all.

I heard this happens on JUN flywheels because they are made for jdm starters, but I've never heard of it happening on a Fidanza. That was the biggest reason I was planning to go with Fidanza over JUN. I hope the problem lies in the instalation and not the flywheel itself.

I've had my clutchmaster's flywheel on for about 3 weeks now and I haven't experienced any problems like that.

Thats probably why. Does anyone know how much a JDM starter would cost? Would it be worth modding it to work with a JUN fw?

I dont think it has anyting to do with a jdm flywheel. I have a 94 jdm H22 and a clutch masters lightweight flywheel, starts fine everythime.

i used to have this same problem on my old h22a accord. it started up fine for a week or so. then the teeth didn't start engaging as well.

the car was like this for a good year or so and it would start on the 2nd or 3rd try everytime.
