VAFC is it worth it?
It looks pretty in the dash
It has it's benefits, as long as it's used and tuned correctly, it could be an asset in your air/fuel management, with a few extra features to boot. The gains I would say are fairly minimal, nothing to "ooh" and "ahh" about. A few of my friends have them, and they have put them to good use, so it's really up to you--it has potential with your nitrous setup from what I've read and heard from others though. Hope that helps.

It is worth it if you have it professionally tuned (wideband o2 dyno) or get a in-car wideband. It is pretty much worthless otherwise.
If you get it tuned, people have picked up 12-15 hp in places throughout the power curve, and there are gains to be had from lowering the stock VTEC crossover a few hundred RPM in a lot of cases. You need to dyno to experiment though. The richer your prelude runs, the more horsepower you will pick up. The caveat is that you need to be careful if you change the environment a lot - for example, I'd bet my car runs a lot leaner now that it's seeing -10C ambient air temps than the 30C+ temperatures in the summer.
Makes a pretty good arguement for a wideband o2 in car and a datalogging device though.

definitely worth the investment.
even without getting it on the dyno right away leaning it out across the board a very tiny bit shows noticeable gains.
h22a's run very rich from the factory.
loved my vafc when i had it.
