Special thanks:
Andie at Cobalt Friction donated $500 to help us make our deposit. He has also offered to give ITRCA members (Driving or not) a discount on brakes between now and the Expo. Please register ASAP and refer potential sponsors to expo3@itrca.com.
Track Event Details:
There will be up to 80 slots available on track. 75 slots are for Type-R owners and there are 5 prepaid non R slots reserved. Any slots not paid for on March 1st regardless of pending status will be opened to non R drivers. We will be running Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Instructor Groups. Each Student will be assigned an instructor and will have in car and classroom instruction. Our event will be dual focused, with the first and most important focus being on safety. We have limited production vehicles so losing one to stupidity isn’t an option. Our second focus will be fun. I will have an open door policy to suggestions and comments. If you need anything please let me know. As discussed previously, things like moving classes will be allowed based on the instructor’s opinions and the ability to maintain balance in the run sessions. Anything I have not addressed that is a concern should be brought up and I will try and add to this post.
What does my $$ get me:
For $295 . . .
– 2 days of Track time
– Event Insurance (all drivers should have personal insurance coverage as well)
–On site EMT and Ambulance
–Corner Workers
–Banquet (Location TBA)
–Tech Sessions
–Dyno Access (Cost TBA)
For $25 . . .
–Banquet
–Track Access
–Tech Sessions
–Dyno Access (Cost TBA)
A few final notes:
First we will be updating this thread as we finalize more info. Please check the first post for the new info, as I will continue to edit this post.
Also the goal of this expo will be to have the most Type-R's at a single event. To do this the goal is to have a minimum of 50 Type-R's on track and a minimum of 75 Type-R's attend the Saturdays events. Saturday will be our "BIG" day and will be when the most side activities will be available. Please plan to attend saturay only if you are not interested in driving the track. There will be a group pictur on track of ALL type-R owners at the event. Let's make this the biggest one yet!
Tech Sessions will be announced closer to the date. No cost will be incurred by the Expo costs so all parts should be supplied by volunteers and work will be completed by the Tech Session Organizers. There will be limited time and facilities so certain sessions may only be done one time if at all. (i.e. Final Drive or Cam Installs)
Finally, This thread is for information. Try not to post ***** it too badly and MOST IMPORTANLY keep a positive attitude and keep the arguing out. I will request a moderator delete all arguing and derogatory comments.

Do we need the money up front to register? If a deposit is needed, is the entire $295 required or a smaller amount?

My girlfriend will be attending with me. I know that due to my lack of on track experience will prevent her from riding with me.
1) Will she be able to ride along with an instructor?
2) Will there be good camera spots to set up a tri-pod for video and still photos?
3) When I am on the track, what will guests do?
Thanks in advance.

what happens if it rains on either of those days?
As for snow... not a clue, but i see lots of local stores loosing lunch trays
Can there be co-drivers for 1 vehicle? If so, what would the cost be? Can me and my bud split the $295 cost or would we each have to pay seperate? I'd really like to know, thanks.

2) Yes we will allow cameras on track with at least one spotter per camera.
3)They will be allowed to walk the paddock area, check out the tech sessions or watch you drive from a spectator area.
Sounds sweet
One question, what happens if it rains on either of those days? Does the event get cancelled?

just out of curiosity, if something were to happen preventing a registered participant from attending, would they be able to sell or give away their spot to another R owner? or would this be more of a "handled on a case by case basis" type of thing?
Thanks a lot for the hardwork Trey, I'll be registering when I get home tonight..
