so i was switching out my BBK throttle body to put the stocker part back in. when i pulled off the BBK and shot a glance at the intake manifold, my eyes opened wide and i said "what the ****?!?" what i saw was this:
i sat there staring at it and wondering what the hell would gouge out the side of the opening (reason for that is the BBK was 70MM, yes
on me for not boring out the IM, nor having an FI setup to really warrant the TB). then i thought back to when my AEM broke...

as you can see, the bracket isn't there... and i never did know where it went. i figured it just fell out and dropped out of the car. now i have a feeling it got sucked into my IM...
the thing is though, my car has been running perfectly fine since the AEM broke (hell, i didnt even know the AEM had broke until i looked at it a few weeks later). nothing has happened, i haven't noticed any difference in how it runs. so what the hell is going on? should i tear down my IM and look for something?
kinda scared...

maybe it's lodged in the runners? but it sure as hell hasn't hurt anything... but there's always "what if"...
Yeah I would pull the thing and look in the runners, and then check over the head... holy crap...
I was waiting for someone to make a comment about blowing the welds on the intake manifold but no one did!

Sorry, I dont like the quality. Looks like was made in Mexico for cheap or something.
throttle body does no good if you dont port match the IM.
Definately pull off the IM and inspect the runners and head.

damn, you DEFINITELY want to take off the I/M and see if it's stuck in there and hope it didn't reach the runners on the head.

it had been installed since last march, i just took it out and put the stock TB back in last night.

It looks like someone was prying at it with a screwdriver, broke the IM and scraped the inside...
Something is not going to be able to fly in ther and make that kind of gouge in there..

If it was me...I rip that bad boy apart, but unfortunately, if anything the damage has probably already been done.
