This is my story:
I`ve sold my Power FC to get myself a JUN ECU (I`ve had enough reasons to do this) because I`m using JUN II cams.
After a trip through the whole internet to every dealer in the world, I received an answer from JUN Japan. They told me, they`d not support any racing team or customer who uses JUN parts from US.
Ok, so far.... I contacted JUN USA (Todd) and he was helpful. Todd sent me an ECU-order form to let me write down the specs of my ITR and my mods.
After checking those specs, Todd told me, JUN could send me an ECU with a custom software for #01858, but they want the money first.. So I went to the bank and sent that money (enough to let my account cry).
The money arrived at JUN-USA a few days later and Todd told me, now he is ready to order the ECU from Japan (I was like "what ?!?!?"). This could take a little time..
So guys, this had been in summer time.. Now we`re almost in Decembre...
....and I`m still waiting.
Todd offered to send me the money back... but that`s not what I want. i want this ECU.
Any ideas to this story ? Is this normal ?

I`ve sold my Power FC to get myself a JUN ECU?
any reason why?
any reason why?
When I went to my race events, I added more fuel in the upper rpm range to keep the engine safe but this way I lost power.
For too long I messed around with the maps so I decided to get a custom made, fixed ECU.

... it just takes forever.
Try being w/o your car for 9 months one year, and 9 months the next.
Todd is a great guy and is honest, it just takes forever.
Don't ask me why.
Good Luck.

Very normal, I am a dealer (one of the larger ones at that). I waited almost 8 months for JUN cams, and the cams for our supra have been on order since before racing season (NHRA season is now over). You'll get your parts, it'll just take some time. That and they use ocean freight for almost all their parts, take into consideration all the BS that went down on the west coast ports, and you have yourself a nice long delay.
I tried to order a JUN ECU awhile back, but decided with another... If I remember correctly they had a time schedule of when there shipments would come from Japan and that would be when they include your order in with the shipment to the US. Back then they told me 2-4 weeks to get it once they ship out the order.
it could also be due to the backlog of shipments coming into the western ports because of the lock out. I'm waiting on items from asia too. I think it also gives companies an excuse though.

Wtf...
I`ve ordered a set of RH cp035 directly from Japan and the shipping took three days..
What a waste of time and money... I am in Europe ! I wonder, why JUN Japan didn`t support me..

Maybe cause your in Europe, dunno why it would take that long. What does Todd have to say about it or how long did he tell you it was going to take?
Until now, he hasn`t still got any information about estimated shipping time from Japan !
All he told me is: "Be sure, JUN will do everything that`s possible"
Sven,
Is this a custom programmed ECU that Jun-USA is promising you?
If not, ordering a Jun ECU thru one of the big shops in JPN should take maybe 2-3 weeks, then add 1 week for EMS shipping to Deutschland
FYI - ocean shipping from ports like Hong Kong and Shekou, China to Long Beach, CA take 14-17 days on average, even for LCL (less than container load) shipments. I know because I use them on a regular basis. From Japan, it should take LESS TIME since it is even closer to the US
However, there is still a backlog in offloading the containers once they get to Long Beach.

Hang in there, it took 3 months for JUN to replace my damged cam, and fix my head, but the did, and I am happy about it.
Todd is a great guy
I do not know why things are so slow in coming from Japan, but that is just the way that it is

In that case, I don't see why they couldn't have JUN in Japan drop ship the damn thing to you via EMS from Japan
I don`t know.
Because they`re just gay....
I don`t know.
I don`t know.
Waiting for parts is something we all have to do, so deal with it.
