Any1 know what US wheel bearing will fit a JDM ITR hub?
I have a JDM 5 lug and the passenger front wheel bearing went out. I am assuming that a Prelude bearing will work, but I was wandering if anyone could confirm (or deny) this?
I need more info.... Do you have the whole JDM ITR spindle? OR just the wheel hub?
If you bought the whole wheel hub i would look into the ITR wheel bearing first. Just went thru it with EK22Tim's car.... Hatch with Si suspension.... He ordered a DX bearing from AutoZone first... Wrong one... No problem return and order Si.... Well when the Si came in SAME bearing!!
Looked some more and finally found out there is a ton of different bearins for those year Civics... Ok sorry getting off topic.... Order them from Honda/Acura... They are more but they are a better bearing.
I hope that you have a industrial press to put that bad boy in!! I do and it was a HUGE help!

I have the whole knuckle from the JDM ITR.
I don't have a press so I took it to my local Honda dealer. I wanted them to press the hub out and check to see if the Prelude bearing part number matched the number that was on the bearing in the knuckle, but they did not have time to do it. They "had to" have my explanation of the bearing that was needed to order it in, so I just told them the Prelude bearing. I was guessing that the Prelude bearing was the right size since the outer joints on the JDM ITR axles are the same as the Preludes (I think).
Let me know what you guys think.

I'm not 100% sure about using a prelude hub/bearing assembly in your ITR knuckle, but I do know that you simply buy a US ITR hub or even 96-98 CRV hub....I believe the 99+ CRV hubs use a 36mm axle nut though (bigger diameter)..so be careful, if you go CRV hub/bearing assembly.

Well there are like 4 different wheel bearing for a 96-00 civic. Let me see if i can get them all off hand....

I have a bad front bearing and have front & rear discs out of what was supposed to be a 94 GSR but I am
UNSURE what model... I saw the teg briefly but it had too bad rear end damage to distinguish for sure.
What bearing sould I use, or try??

I would try the GSR wheel bearing. If not just take it back? Not that hard i guess... to return it. Just the down time of your car.
Buy from Autozone and then if you got the right one order it from Honda! And return the one to AutoZone!!!
That way you can allways return! That is if you want the Honda Bearing. They are better! But alot more $$

I was using the 36mm axle nuts. So if the Prelude bearing comes in and dosen't fit, I should try the CRV bearing?
BTW, for ITR's, only the 98+ JDM ITR's have the bigger/36mm axle nut + bigger axle spline. Any pre-97 JDM or pre-01 U.S. Integra-R's, all have the same size 32mm axle nut and end-axle spline size. Hope that made sense...heh.
97GSR Hatch...
All of the 94+ Integra's (GSR/LS/RS/ except ITR), all have the exact same sized calipers, rotors, knuckle and hubs. You can use any 94+ integra (except ITR) wheel hub/bearing in your supposed GSR front knuckles..

I just got back from Honda. The mechanic told me that the Prelude bearing pressed in nicely. He did not check to see if the numbers on the bearing matched though. I'm going to get the knuckle back on the car and do some driving around, if the problem is fixed and stays fixed for a decent amount of driving, I'll post the Honda part number of the bearing they gave me.
Any USDM ITR uses the same bearing as other integras and a lot of civics.
Also, if I recollect correctly, the ITR hub is thicker in some area of the hub-bearing because of the bigger brakes, hence the 50mm offset an OEM ITR wheel has.
This comment of mine is just in reflection to 97GSR Hatch's GSR wheel bearing issue...he's not quite 5lug.
(examply pic of an ITR's longer hub/bearing offset)

The Honda part number of the Prelude wheel bearing they pressed in the JDM ITR knuckle:
44300-S47-008 @ 74.61ea
The mechanic said the bearing pressed right in, and I'll put about 300 miles on it with no problems.

Look at the other thread i believe that they said a CRV from 96-98 will work

I have been using front wheel bearings from the Honda CR-V in my 99 JDM ITR 5 lug. I took the old JDM bearings to Honda, did an exact comparison with the Honda CR-V, and they are the exact same. I have about 3,000 miles on them now with no problems.
