Sunday night, Bruces Speed shop on RT 46 in Rockaway Boro NJ. Apparently the car was left out over night(which I SPECIFICALLY told them not to do). Mine and another car broken in to.

Seats(front/rear), gauge cluster (34K on the clock), center console(no badge number) steering wheel(stock), all ******* jacked. Im ******* shaking right now Im so pissed. Those of you in north NJ/NYC area be on the look out, not that you will actually be able to tell. Only saving grace is they didnt steal the car and/or motor. I havnt driven the car in over 5 months and it was almost done!!! If anyone saw or noticed anything around sunday night, please let me know.

Sorry for your loss, now get intouch with a lawyer and have the lawyer call the shop on repairs to your car.

 

how much do new ITR front and rear seats go for?? I told the police around 2500...is that about right?

Its obviously going to come down to an insurance battle as to who is going to have to pay...mine against theirs.

 

New I think it's more than that. I believe more than one person on here has had their car totalled by insurance after interior theft.

 

Bruce's huh? I had my car there but it wasn't over night. I work 2 miles away from there ..... this area is going to ****. I don;t bring my R to work anymore because someone tried to jack an ITR in the parking lot at work. They also tried to steal an Integra LS and HID's from a 2002 Max.

Sorry to hear about your stuff. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for ya.

What were you having done by Bruce? His work is top notch ****. Probably the best chasis tuner in Northern NJ. I took my car there to get corner weighted.

you have the option to buy it back, but when my old cressida was broken in at a shop the shop covered it because they could have secured the vehicle in a fenced in "secure" area but did not. If they wouldn't have paid it, they would have had 5 lawsuits to deal with.

 

my vehicle had the front two seats stolen while the previous owner had it.

it was totalled, and he was handed a huge check, from which he bought the car back and had $15,000 to play with. He paid for new seats (big whoop) from a junk yard car and pocketed the rest.

some people have the lucky theft stories.....

 

Unfortunatly Bruce's Speedshot doesn't have a huge fenced in area. In fact, if there were two cars fenced in, there is noway to get anymore cars in.

always hoods out there trying to sell stolen stuff .. I remember a week after the RSX came out, some guy was already selling an RSX motor and seats ...

 

same thing happened to me. my car was locked up behind a fence with alarm. somehow the "theives" broke in and stole my whole interior. i know it was in an inside job but i got NICE stuff out of it, the body shop paid for everything. got sparco torino's, dvd player and monitor, new rear seats, new center console. weird thing is now my ITR number changed form #416 to #542. anyone that has a ITR centerconsole with #416 will DIE...

 

Well, regardless of wether this dood Bruce knows his **** or not, it's his fault. What did he say when you SPECIFICALLY told him to NOT leave the car outside? He better pay for your **** or RAISE hell..

 

well the thing is, i SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM they COULD NOT LEAVE IT OUT over night, and I have a witness that was with me at the time, and I can recall the person I was speaking to making a PHONE CALL to Bruce at about 11:15am to ask if he had a place to store it over night, since that was THE ONLY WAY I was going to leave it there. The answer was YES and I agreed to leave it overnight if I had to. Im not going to get into any more details about it since everything is still unfolding...thanks everyone for your replies and info and thanks Rodney for the help

 

Don't sweat it man, if it's a reputable shop, they'll replace everything. it was on their property and under their care while it was broken into, they should pay for everything

 

IF it happened on their property then it is their responsibility to replace the stolen parts. My buddy got his Neeper Rims stolen when his car was getting a clutch put in and they needed a key to get the locks off and they used the one from the trunk so you know it was an inside job... The shop paid a lot of $$$$$ to replace the rims.....

Keep a good eye out on ebay I've heard of stolen parts being sold there. I'm very sorry about the loss yuor probably(sp) @ bruces . I don't blame you

Bottom line, this dood Brooce is responsible for your car. I would be furious that they left the car outside when you specified it to be INSIDE..

 

File a suit and get some extra cash too
