new motor doesnt have crank pulley on it....should i replace with OE or aftermarket??
basically what it says. OE is $103 from acura carland. Should i just go with that or would aftermarket/performance pulley be cheaper or have worthy gains of any kind??
I would go with an OEM crank pulley. I've heard nothing positive about aftermarket pullies, especially Unorthodox pulley. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the Unorthodox pulley does not have a harmonic dampener, which is simply a rubber ring that takes up some of the vibration caused by the crank. Not having a harmonic dampener allows this vibration to shake the crank and oil pump assembly, and could cause oil pump failure. Not worth the extra hp or 2 you get from an aftermarket piece. Correct me if I'm wrong, fellow H-T'ers.
well, if u decide to go aftermarket, i've got one for sale....$90 shipped, let me know if ur interested

Which one do you need? LS crank pulley or a GS-R/ITR crank pulley?
I've got a LS crank pulley I can sell for cheap. It doesn't look the greatest, but it'll get you around.

yeah, its an LS btw....so the general thought is that i wont see any gains from aftermarket and just as good to stay OE???
From what i HEARD, you will see small gains from the aftermarket pulley...however..its very bad for the enginer, since it has no harmoic damnper. Just get the oem one.
