That is correct.

That is there so when your careless girlfriend gets in your car and kicks the harness, it doesnt get messed up. You will thank me for one less argument over your car.

Do you just plug that to your existing wires and a P28, then Bam, you're converted to obd1?

almost that easy. You see the 8 wires that are numbered on the harness? You have to run a few wires from the engine compartment and connect it to them.....

Also you have to repin your distributor in your engine bay for an obd1 distributor. And you have to remove your injector box.

I have had mine for well over a year and no probs yet. Jason is a good guy to deal with

They're so clear that you can see his cuticles on his fingers, lol...
Instead of repinning the dizzy, I guess you can just replace it with an obd1 completely...Also, if you're taking the injector resistor box, what do you do with the connected wires...just take em off? Unless you replace your injectors too with obd1's...

You will be using your stock OBD0 engine harness so you will need to swap the distributor plugs and just match the wire colors. You do not have to remove the injector box if you are keeping the OBD0 injectors. The car will run fine with the OBD0 injectors and the resistor box. If you want to run the OBD1 injectors then you will remove the resistor box, cut the plug off....or un-pin it ...then solder the wires together.

Yea i was gonna work on building one for my friend.. I haven't finished my diagram for it but i'll work on it sometime when i get bored.. On ur harness do you have the extra wires coming off for the O2, I wanna have an extra connector in there so that I don't have to hard wire the 3 02 wires and then have the converter not come out because it's soldered in there. I dunno I'm just weird about wiring and I like it perfect so that's why. Also whagkangmakulet did blown90hatch make it or is someone selling these.. I see the aluminum putty on there so it looks different then like a Skunk one which just has shrink wrap on it. Back to my question I was just wondering how you get the OBD1 pigtails that come with all gray wires.... Whenever I have made converter harnesses before I have to go the the junkyard where i normally look for a GSR and cut the pigtails out of it.. I hate pin A4 etc., I always run out of those wide pins... They have plenty of DX and LS harnesses out there but then I have to buy a few of them just to make one VTEC one. Anyways if anyone knows where i can get those gray plug that would be cool.... Thanks

Damn I didn't see that the first time I looked..... Why do they have all those extra wires??? I can see for the O2 you will get a few but I can see like 9, From what i can see it doesn't look like they wired VTEC, VTM, KS or anything into it into the non OBD plug.. I guess it's easier if you get the converter in the beginning of your swap but must people wire up all those pins into their interior looms so they can run their PR3's or PW0's... With this converter you just run the wire straight off of it huh. Anyways I was just curious.. Peace

JDMspecEG6
I make all my harnesses custom. I did a major buy in with the company that makes them for Honda. That is why they are brand new OEM pieces. There are 10 wires comming off the harness: Vtec Press, Vtec sol, KS, 4 O2 wires, checkengine, and for the gsr manifold if you are running it...butters, and evap. The instructions are easy. Plug in harness, run # wires to the appropraite sensors. I include what the sensors are...colors, wires, etc...for you not-so tech people. REpin distributor and you are done.

Why all the sudden are there a bunch of "OBD0 to OBD1 Conversion" threads? They've been around for awhile.

Jason:
How come my harness, from about a year ago, has colored wires while that one has all grey wires? You should scan a set of your instructions so when people ask you can just post 'em.

The hardest thing for was figuring out how to hook up that Check Engine light, but other than that, it was easy.

LOL. I dont know where all these threads came from. The old version of the harnesses used the stock OEM colored wires. I stepped it up a bit when I did the buy in from the manufacturer. Yeah, my GB from last year was 10+ buyers for 110. I doubt that will happen again as the Ecus prices for plugs has gone through the roof. It costs me twice as much to build a 0-1 harness than it does a 2-1 harness.
