Default Tanabe Racing Medallion

I am looking at buying the whole cat back with a carsound cat. Is this going to be super loud? Does anyone have this on their car? Is is true that an exhaust off of a type r will fit an ls? Does anyone have pics of this exhaust on their car?

The Racing Medalion is super loud but it sounds damn good. Very deep tone, I haven't heard any other exhaust this deep on an import yet.

if it is anything like the tanabe DTM it is deep and not so loud until you get on it. I am considering upgrading to a carsound cat myself, just not sure whether I am keeping the car or not ATM..

Without the silencer this thing is real loud. With a straight pipe it's almost nutz!
I like it.

I wouldn't suggest this (straight pipe) for daily driving though... the drone can make you go insane at times.

i have the super rm on my ls with a airmass high flow cat. DEEP and LOUD. It can be alittle too loud when cruising, but its still a sweet sound, expect to get alot of compliments. I'm gonna try puttin my stock cat back on and see what the difference is, i have a feeling one of the reasons its so loud has alot to do with the high flow cat, but I know the gains a high flow cat will give you arent that big of a loss if you go back. On the bright side the silencer goes on with one screw, takes less than 30 seconds to put it in with two wrenches handy, returns the noise down to barely louder than stock.

if you decide to go with the super rm, i got mine from http://www.importhorizon.com $570 -FREE SHIPPING, its a hard price to beat when you take into account most company's charge 50+ bucks to ship something that big, I got mine in 2 or 3 days

yeah i figured it would be pretty loud. I have the APEXi N1 right now, but I keep seeing more people with the same exhaust. Does anyone know how much bigger the canister is than the N1?

yeah it seems like the N1 is everywhere now. The RM has about the same sized tip the muffler is alittle bigger and of course it doesnt come out at an angle like the N1, looks great

Yep. all models can switch around besides the pre 200 gsrs i believe but nothing a few cuts and welds can't fix.

I love the way the racing medallion sounds on my LS, heres a pic but it looks kinda funny but its just cuz how the pic was taken. Its pretty loud, especially when you get on it but it sounds sweet.

VERY LOUD. Buy a nice stereo to go with it.

I've only drove 120 miles since I had it, and that was with the silencer off. Cruising at 3k is somewhat annoying. I've gotten lots of compliments, but I personally hate the fact that I now have a noisy slow car.

I dont think its aftermarket, but it did come with the car. My friends gsr and my other friends LS also doesnt have the 3rd bar. The spoiler is held on by that middle bar, the 2 sides arent connected to the car though.
