Default swapping a B18C1 into a crx

hey guys i was looking over the list of parts i'd need to swap the B18C1 into my crx and i wanted to make sure if i was missing anything else.
1. integra ECU OBD-1 ( the kid who sold me the engine needed his ecu )
2. integra acles 90'-93'
3. A.C. bracket
5. Motor Mounts ( he needed to keep his mounts too )
6. Wire Harness
7. hydraulic clutch setup on a manual civic 92'-95'
8. shift linkage
9. Hood??? (i heard that once a b18 is swapped in the hood wont close?)

For anyone who has experience in this department please let me know if i need to add or change anything thanks. The specifications for the engine is it's a 00'-01' GSR engine that's going into a 89' CRX DX.

1. obd-1 is fine, I'm using a chipped p28
2. You might just want to upgrade the front to either ex or teg knuckles and brakes, I had to for my hf for the axles, I'm not sure abou tthe dx.
3. Good luck with the A/C, I don't think it will fit.
4. you skipped this number.
5. Get some HCP mounts and linkage, look up blown90hatch. (he also makes obd-0- obd-1 harnesses.)
6. You can use the harness from either an si or an hf, and ire in the injectors, and dist.
7. Well it's easier to use a cable tranny
8. You can get that with the HCP kit.
9. Mine still fits.
Hope that helps a bit, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

1 if you use a obd 1 ecu you will need a obd 1 conversion harness as well as the obd 1 distributor , oxygen sensor.
5. hasport mounts (or hcp) i have personally seen 5 sets of place racing mounts break. you cant use stock
6. you will need the crx engine harness, and convert it to multipoint .
7. Doing the hydro conversion is alot of work , sell the gsr tranny and find a 92 gsr tranny(cable) You might even be able to trade someone.
8. hasport makes them too
9. Your hood will hit depending on which mounts you use.

Instant message Blown90hatch here on htech , he can take care of all your wiring needs, and he can get you hcp mounts at a good price.

9. Your hood will hit depending on which mounts you use.

Which mounts will it fit with, and what other options would you suggest for hood clearance (while mainting decent ground clearance for hte header)??? Excluding EF8 conversion, which i know will make clearance a non-issue.

Yeah, I can convert your Dx harness to OBD1 so basically when you receive it back from me, you will just plug it in. Email me for futher details.

Thanks Jason

Tbone answers are great.

The hood will clear with the HCP mounts, but you may need to put some spacers to lower then engine down 6mm or so.

Also, just get the cable trans. Sell off the hydro trans if you have it.

I thought that you needed the P72 to actuate the secondary runners (butterfly) in the weird looking GSR intake manifold....? are you using a different Intake manifold? if not....how are you planning to open them up?

wouldn't getting a ZC hood solve his problem with the motor not hitting? i had that problem w/ my ZC motor and i just bought a used ZC hood off e-bay and it clears my motor nicely and it's also a nice jdm part to add.

1 if you use a obd 1 ecu you will need a obd 1 conversion harness as well as the obd 1 distributor , oxygen sensor.
Since virtually nobody sells a GSR swap that is not a complete changeover (or at least a complete engine), you probably already have the GSR distributer and P72 ECU. So even if you can't do the wiring conversion yourself and have to buy a conversion harness, it will be cheaper than getting a PR3/PW0 and 1G JDM B16A distributer. It will also run the motor better. And you will not have to worry about any smog hassles (as you might with 1G JDM B16A electronics).

7. Doing the hydro conversion is alot of work , sell the gsr tranny and find a 92 gsr tranny(cable) You might even be able to trade someone.
The problems with cable transmissions is they are either geared too short (B16A/B17A transmissions), geared too tall (LS transmissions), and often grind going into third gear. Furthermore, the best cable choice (1992-1993 GSR, which is still very short) is very rare and expensive. The 1994+ GSR transmission is geared MUCH better and has a more durable dual cone synchro on third gear. So it is well worth the trouble to use it rather than a cable transmission. But only Place Racing actually makes mounts for the hydraulic transmission (yes, hydraulic transmissions mount differently from cable transmissions). So I would suggest this kit over Hasport or HCP for a GSR swap.

He has a 2000 gsr swap so at best , he can keep the o2 and the distributor( he will have to repin it). He will still need the obd1 ecu.
I agree that the first gen b16 electronics suck though.

If i keep my hydraulic trans what kind of shift linkage will i have to use? Or will the mechanic have to do some ghetto modding in that area?
