Does GSR stand for anything?

I know the Viper RT/10 means Road Track 10 cylinders... but does every car model have a meaning to their respective letters?

Grand Series Racing, LS= luxury series (in other words, literally slow as i call it), GS=grand series, RS=regular series,type r= type racing.

that sounds almost kinda like what i've heard.. except it was Rally Sport, Luxury Sport, Grand Sport, and Grand Sport Race. i forgot what the ITR was supposed to be

I third Grand Sport Race.

United States / Canada Models:
RS = Rally Sport
LS = Luxury Sport
LS-S = Special Edition LS
GS = Grand Sport
GS-R = Grand Sport Race

Japanese Models:
XSi -1.6L B16A DOHC Power Everything...(GS-R Package)
RSi -1.6L B16A DOHC Less features (RS or GS).
ZXi -1.6L ZC SOHC luxury package ( LS).
RZi -1.6L ZC SOHC kind of a stripped down LS.
TXi -1.6L ZC SOHC the very basic no frills model.

ESi - 1.8L (Non-VTEC) This level is just below the XSi, but better equipped than ZXi.

The new models (round headlights) came out in 1993 and were GSi (1.8i DOHC) and a VTi-R (1.8i DOHC VTEC).

Actually, the R in Type R means.. Reduced Weight..
