Any swap is better than a stock civic motor.

Well it depends on how good the motor is really, but I have a 99 B18C1 in my Ek and I like it. I ran a 13.29@100mph with stock motor, intake, and header.....suprised me!

Are you sure you dont mean 14.29@100 ? A gsr motor in an EK "shouldnt" run low 13's.......unless you were on slicks with a "hella" good launch.

Ha ha, I think Tom hit the wrong button.

True, a b18c1 in a EK is not a 13 second car. Maybe if you're on slicks and you're squeezing or something. Be prepared to pull times near a stock ITR.

I have an 01 C5 in my EK with an Si ecu it hits a 13.63@101 which is why I couldnt see a GSR hitting 13.20's......that would mean I was doing something WAYYY worng.....which I dont think I am

But still a few mods and some sticky tires and 13.90's should be pretty easy for an EK with a C1.......just not 13.20's@100+

Nope it was a 13.29.... That's my friend Albert... It's a stock GSR with Skunk manifold, CTR intake cam, 2000 Si tranny, ACT Maxx Xtreme PP with 4 puck disk, and Clutchmaster flywheel. On just MT 20x6x14 slicks. He did have the interior stripped. He taped it too so, I'll transfer it off VHS to mini-dv then firewire it to my comp then i'll render it to MPEG for you all too see. I'll also get the timeslip and scan it.

Forgot to add he also had consistent 13.62-13.8 runs.... From the time I did the swap over a year ago, I really had doubts about how fast it was going to be because many of my other friends were only getting 13.90's. Oh well I'm happy with that for a internally stock all motor GSR in an EK.

I have a 92 hatch with a b16..... IMO, jdm power is better... you have to think where honda is.... all of the jdm motors have more hp then the usdm ones..... also in japan they don't have to swap the b series motors over because they come in the eg and ek cars..... If everything is done right then it should all go smooth....

Well all you guys can say what you want and what you think, and it really doesnt matter if you have a b18c, c1, or a c5 and are running slower than me, sorry dont know what to say. Especially that c5 motor you should be running low 13's in an EK all day, guess u are doin something wrong, and like my friend Adam said, i got the time slip and the run on tape with te timeboard at the end, and he said exactly what I have, ctr intake cam not really doin anything cuz i have no spockets, so check back after Adam uploads my timeslip and video, and if you still dont believe it feel free to come on over to Woodburn, OR dragstrip next session and watch...later

92boostn'hatch, even if we have those Jspec motors we still don't have their 100 octane that they getta drive on everyday. We got race gas but who puts that in to drive their car around here. A JDM ITR here isn't goin to put out the power that it will in Japan runnning on our highest pump gas.
