HANS Device... please read!!! Help a World Challenge racer out.
As many of you have read in either the Type R Forum or EG forum, I will be entering my first World Challenge event this weekend. However, It has been brought to my attention that I MUST HAVE A HANS TYPE DEVICE FOR ME TO COMPETE! I currently have not located the 1300 dollars it requires to purchase one of these devices.
If any of you might be so kind as to loan one for the weekend I would thoroughly appreciate it! Or if you know of a used or discounted source for the HANS device please let me know.
Thank you all for your time.

FYI - You have to modify your helmet to have it work w/ a HANS device, and sometimes the seat too, depending on what you are using.
Sorry, but read the rules, AND the supps.

Hutchens device is also legal, and a whole lot cheaper. You can mod your helmet yourself, and no seat mods are necessary. Will fit a Latch/Link harness very nicely.
Warren, Couple things...
Your M3, is there any photos online? My good friend has an 89 as well, lovely car!
ABout the HANS device, I knew I needed one, however only recently did it become mandatory. Do you use an HANS with the East Coast Honda Challenge?
Are you going to the VIR event?
If so look forward to seeing you there.

The HANS or Hutchens device has been mandatory for the entire 2002 WC season.
Yeah, the E30 M3 is the easiest car I've ever had to drive fast

Relatively recently... Your right, but it wasn't last year, when I was contemplating racing an event. I wanted to see what others experiences were with the devices, in actual use. We're all learning everyday.....
