I sent this guy $65 two months ago. He gave me the run around about how USPS lost the part. It's not much money but it's still my hard earned money. He said he would refund my money a month ago, he just kept making excuses. Don't deal with this piece of **** petty scammer, he's scam you over $2, pathetic bastard. If you read this Devin Lefevere, you better hope I never meet you or see your POS crx cuz when that day comes, it's open season on your bitch ***.

im in that situation now myself. not with devin17, but with another H-T member, all i hear are shitty excuses on how post office wouldnt ship, or how they left it under the stair well. and its only $60.

Devin, you told me 2 Sundays ago that you were in the process of getting $200. You assured me that you would have that money two weeks ago. It's been 2 months since the transaction happened. I tried to IM you and it says "disabled by user." What am I supposed to think? It's not much money and the least you could have told me is that it will take me some time to get you the part. All I hear is excuses man. Was it my fault you were driving over the speed limit and you got busted?

As far as your old refrences, and yes, they are old, it means jack **** to me since I live in the present. I don't care about who you sold stuff to in the past, this transation is between you and me. At this point, you can keep my money, I just wanted to let people know how my business deal with you was nowhere near satisfactory. Excuses is all I hear and it's not even that much money. Keep it man, I guess you need it more than I do. I had some friends of mine with rexes that I was going to refer to you, thank goodness I didn't. Don't spend it all in one place.

P.S. You keep saying "call me, call me." For what? So you can give me excuses over the phone instead of H-T? If I call you, will you magically acquire my money? I shouldn't have to. I gave you money and I have no product...bottom line which is a perfect equation for a scam.

I dont understand, what does the guy's $65 has to do with your other transaction... you could at least make sure the guy got the part before you go and use the $65.. I feel sorry for you about your finanicial situation, but this still isnt how business should be carry out...

This is a bunch of crap...If you steal $5 bux or steal $1000 and in this case $65 bux, you still stole money. No excuses! If you're down and out and low on cash, it is your responsibility to admit your short comings and explain that to your customer but not wait for him to call you. Even if you have to call your customer every single week. I can say that Devin17 is a nice fella, dont really know him personally but spoke with him on a few issues here and there. And for the person saying he'd take a $65 dollar hit for someone going through hard times, I would too and I'm sure the buyer would too, but Devin17 didnt say that originally. He's better off just posting a thread borrowing money in my opinion.

I can see where you are coming from. Things happen that can put you in a bind. All I'm saying is let me know!! He didn't tell me any of this before hand. I was never properly notified of his financial problems. I could have made a better decision with my money. My grandma herself has been given 48 hours to live by her doctors, I can relate. All I ask is some info. The last time I talked to Devin was at least 3 weeks ago and no, it's not my responsibility to hunt him down, as a seller, it's his duty to keep his buyers informed. Everyone, learn from my mistake. Make sure you ask the seller every possible question to make sure the transaction goes smoothly. I should have know not to buy from someone with a 97% user rating.

What's with all the pity in here...

I went through the same thing when b18c1_powered_si got me for $130. Everyone was like "it's only $130... what are you making such a big deal about". If someone sends you money, you either make good on the deal or you don't. If he doesn't get his item or his money back in a timely fashion I definitely say you're being dishonest.

Scammer implies that he set out to rip someone off. That may not have been the case, but to the person on the losing end it makes no difference what the intention was. If a person does it to one person, intentionally or not, they'll do it again.

 

JeffS: I can't believe b18c1_powered_si scammed you. I have dealt and bought parts from him and he came through just fine. You are correct though, he might not have scammed me but in your eyes, he is a scammer, that I can totally understand. To all those who have has successfull business with Devin, good for you, he's a scammer in my eyes.

 

Ok, let me clarify... I wouldn't classify Brian (b18c1_powered_si) as a scammer. He certainly didn't setout to take my money. Tons of people have bought from him with no problems.

In short though, I sent him $130 for a product which was damaged in shipping. The UPS claim went to him and end the end, I never got anything. Yes, I feel cheated... afterall, I spend $130 and got absolutely nothing. Brian claims that he somehow lost out as well. I don't agree, but that's a moot point. I made a previous purchase from him that went fine.

My point is that from a buyer's standpoint it doesn't matter why things go bad, just that they did. I personally do my best to communicate accurately, pack well, ship quickly and always pay for insurance. I expect the same from others, though I rarely get it.
