4-2-1 or 4-1 headers????
Which configuration on the headers is better for torque and horsepower on my 01 type-r? Is there a 4-2-1 JDM header or are they only 4-1?

But regarding the design:
The 4-1 will free more top end power, which is good for drag racing and tracks with flat ins and flat outs (so you can take curves at high revs).
The 4-2-1 design is good for some gains in the midrange. You feel the difference when you often have to press and lift the gas pedal at low/mid range.
It`s good for WRC and every other tracks where you are forced to let the revs fall down and you simply need torque at 4k
For some reasons the 4-1 makles better peak power than the 421.
But both have their right to exist.
