Default Help with ITB's

I am looking to buy Individual throttle bodies from some guy that has it from a Toyota. He said that there is an adapter to make it fit my b18c5 but he doesn't know where to get it. Does anyone know where to get one? I did a search on google but couldn't find anything. Also has anyone ever heard of anyone using one of these on there b-series head? Can a machine shop just make one of these adapters?
Any help will be Greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Brian

do you know that the adapter is $500? I can get the ITB for 250+500=750
Still much better deal than the toda. Maybe not as good but im sure it would still be good. Not only do I get the ITBs I get all the stuff I need except for the adapter. I think this is a pretty freakin good deal.

Unless you know the name/type of ITB you are buying - you're not going to get any help here. I doubt you will be able to find an adapter plate in the first place. I bet you the seller said there is an adapter plate to leverage the sale. I say that he may be b.s'ing you if he "doesn't know where to get one". Where the hell did he buy the ITB's? That would be the first place to try.

If an adapter plate is not available you will have to get a machine shop to custom make you one --> big $$$.

If you're new to ITB's be prepared to spend a LOT of time and money tuning them. They are extremely time consuming to tune - and your car will NOT pass emissions nor pass vehicle inspection if you get pulled over.

So, the ITBs go on the exhaust?
I like the MoTec better!

using the toyota one and buying parts to make it work will cost just as much if you bought a bolt on toda kit BRAND NEW

i don't understand why everyone is **** talking a different OEM manufacture ITB. if you have the resources, spending $250 on a set of ITB's vs. $2000 plus is a no brainer.

It's not like there is anything extremely complicated in a throttle body, worst problem IMO would be centering the injector directly in the intake port, if it's not already matched up. Looking at the 929 honda piece, it's definatly very promising.

whatever.

the amount of stupidity in this thread is overwelming. a machine should be able to make you a plate for under 500, probbaly well under, a frined of mine had this done a while ago with his d16. hondatech should offer help, rather than flame him for not dropping 2geez on toda. good luck with your setup and hope you have a nice stand alone to tune her
