J's Racing Rear Pillar Bar Installed! (Pics)
Here is what the owner of the car have to say:
"Finally decided to purchase the J's Racing Rear Pillar Bar. I would say that it did improve the handling a tad bit; worth the investment just to stiffen up the car that little bit including a bit of interior and (exterior) looks. This bar looks quite nice from the outside and will act as a nice bar for me to mount my video camera for my next autocross run!"
can anyone sit in the back???
This has the same effect on the rear seats as a rollbar: It renders them useless.
Rear seats? I thought ITR is a 2 seaters!!
If rear seats are you main concern, go buy an Accord.

Take it easy, I am just kidding. I am sorry if my comment offend you.
Be serious, I would not recommand anyone to sit in the back seats with this pillar bar installed. So if you need to carry a lot of rear passengers, I would say this bar is not for you. But it doesn't take too long to take off the bar if necessary.

, in the orignal post. Hmmm I may get it, put some people in the back seat, punch the throttle acouple of times and cause some head damage
Has anyone ever tried it with a lighter hatch?
I'm sure the bar would made a bigger differences if you didn't have a OEM trunk hatch. Say like something fiberglass or C/F. Since the weight of the hatch may have a somewhat of an effect.

If they're cool with the idea of a metal bar cracking open their skull in an accident, sure people can sit in the back.

How much cutting was involved to install the bar?
I don't think there is cutting involved. Doesn't it mount in the same location as the stock seat belt holder thing (whatever it's called)?? I could be wrong though.
