So what home made stuff do you have??
I did a search on this and to my surprise i didnt come up with much.
I want to know what home made things you have on your car and how you made it. Every thing from performance to cosmetics.
The reason i ask this is because I'm a poor guy, but i want to get the most out of my civic.

I built a home-made cold air intake. It's a POS. I spent $120 on the beast because I ordered wrong parts. Also, the K&N filter cost me like 60 bucks shipped?
- I didn't notice a difference at all in performance.
I'm gonna end up buying an AEM model anytime soon though...

I have a homemade B16a... j/k.

everything else is aftermarket.
you could just buy a cheapo air intake off ebay for like $25, thats a start.

4" elbow bolted in place of stock resonator box, requires some trimming of the sheet metal in front of the wheelwell, where the stock resonator goes through.
stock crx si airbox, arm trimmed down a few inches, bottom front section cut off to offer more air flow to the stock filter, via the 90 degree home depot elbow.
integra ls intake arm, trimmed at the throttle body side about 1" (1 section of the ribbing) this is much bigger than the stock crx arm that was currently choking my B16.
cut and rewelded integra ls shift linkage
cut and rewelded stock shifter. about 3 inches shorter, with a standard 4 speed ****. 4 speed **** OOOWWWNNNNSSSS!!!! little ball shape, looks stylish.

I was planning on doing the strut bars also. I have a welder and know how to use it pretty well. what did you use exaclty on yours? I'm thinking a pipe and 1/8 sheet metel in a L shape Kinda look like this on the drivers side 7-------
thats was the easiest way i can explain it.

i just went to home depot or local metal shop and got 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch metal plate cut it with plasma cutter and for the bar i use 1' tubing 120 wall that the thickness of rollcages and i wanted mine strong, like a bull!
Homemade ground strap. My brother braided some copper wires together. Put two eyelets at each end, soldered, heatshrunk sleeving onto the soldered joints. Looks weird but should provided good path for current flow. Current carrying capacity depends on the cross sectional area of the wire(s)....I think...
i made a homemade hyper blinker.. it was kinda cool because i put a potentiometer in place of one of the resistors and i could adjust the speed from so fast it's constantly on to really slooooooow.
but it finally either burned out my flasher relay or the potentiometer and it doesn't work.. so i just bought a replacement and never modified it
