Violent shaking under acceleration!!!
I need to get some opinions from you guys. I have a problem with my R under acceleration. When I accelerate the car shakes pretty bad. The harder the acceleration the worse it gets. I am thinking that it could be the axles because they were replaced once before and now the ones on there are remanufactured honda axles which I have heard suck. Is there anything else that you guys think it could be. Not the balance of the wheels, and I don't think it is anything in the tranny because I just got a lot of things replaced inside, and the guy who did the tranny said the diff and everything else looked fine when he was done. Any help would be great. Thanks.
No the car doesn't pull in any direction, I checked the lugs, which bearings are you talking about? Anyone else have any opinons??
sounds like your axles, i have some cheap ones on my car and like every 10k it seems i have to replace them they just keep wearing out.

Since I got the car back from the first axle replacement, I have only been to one autox and I have gotton on the gas about ten times. I haven't been driving it that much lately, but it seems to be getting worse and worse.
O.k. I got the car up in the air this morning to see if I could check anything out. What I found was that there was a lot of play where the axle and intermediate shaft connected. And also some play where the other axle went into the tranny. The intermediate shaft is still an itr one, and I am positive the remanufactered axles aren't from an itr, so I am assuming that this is my problem. Thanks for all of the help.
Change the axles... how low is your car??? that has a dramatic effect on how long your axles will last... axles are made for stock height.. and usually all axles are remanufactured... and if you get them from a local parts store... they usually have lifetime warranties on them so just use them, break em, then replace them for life.. that's what I had on my old GSR... and since I still have the original receipts.. everytime the axles go out.. just get new ones.. for free...
you can buy two different types of reman. axles.
1)with rebuilt joints or 2) with brand new joints
check which ones you got. the rebiult ones last only about three months or so. and are cheaper then the others

Inner c.v. joints can cause the vibration you are talking about. Seen it more than once.
is there a way to tell if its the inner CVjoint?
I just got my axles done today and i''m having this problem
by the way is a jdm h22a prelude 93

I run Marty's axles. They have held up very well on my car with 30 or so passes on slicks and 30K miles on 1.5-2.5" of drop.

if thats so then your diff bearing is shot that causes the shake also are you leaking any trans fluid? if not also rm axles sux ***. assembled in mexico and stuff like that.

I had the same problem,i am gonna guess that u have some kind of coilover set up on the car,if u do try raising the height of your car a few inches in the front and see if it stops(worked for me)

this is exactly how i diagnose all my broken axles at the track, violent shakin under acceleration = inner CV joint.
