ITR wing for race only?
Thanks for the good input George. At the autocrosses I have been to, I have never had the need to shift pass 2nd which means I never get over 60 mph.
Drag racing I wouldn't know though, how does the wing affect the car in a straight line?

not sure about street cars, but Apexi got 'tarzan' yamada to do a drag run w/o the wing on their drag car. The guy nearly crashed when he tried to slow down. Slow motion revealed the back end completely off the ground

The wing will help you at high speeds, 70+. If your not going to go over 90 its not the worst thing to drop the wing. But the wing, Acura says, is functional. People (on ht) will tell you, drive your car on a track w/ and w/out the wing you can tell a difference in handling at higher speeds. I was going to take of my wing but decided to keep it.

My question is since I took off my wing where can I get the double sided black tape to put it back on? I called the dealer and they said to just use regular double sided tape, but I cant find one thats wide enough for the wing!
Mine is Off till my HPDE Track Debut at Limerock next month, then it's back off again till the next HPDE...
I understand how and "if" it works. I'm sure it does, I firmly believe that the Honda engineers Did NOT add that: "Rearview Destroyer" just for looks... I just don't need it for daily use and Certainly NOT for Autocross. I have run the car both ways on the street and autocross and since I haven't pushed it to the limit on the road and didn't feel a difference at an autocross, I don't believe that I need it on all the time...
Of course I may be surprised next month and keep it on for good?
Of course it is all up to the driver,,, And YES I have read all the testimony's so I believe that it actually does something.

PS Just take it off and put it back on for the track, if you're braking late and taking turns on open roads at 100+ MPH then you really shouldn't be driving ANY car on public thoroughfares...

I contacted Comptech after I was disgusted when dealing with Acura parts departments...
Comptech's replica ITR wing is made by Wing's West and when I contacted WW with a reference from Comptech, WW sent me 2 SET'S of ITR wing Gaskets; 1 with non sticking rubber, great for securing it but, also being able to remove it easily AND 1 with double sided sticky foam gasket for reapplying it more permanently.
And the price? a Free long distance call on my Cell and are ya ready for this? FREE from Wing's West, Not even shipping...
I Never thought a bodykit company would make me promote them, but, their customer service and donation my way makes me think otherwise. Good Job Wing's West!
