me and my frend both have the same cat back system... i have a test pipe and he has a cat con. still and both of our cars rattle underneath.normal..

sick ride caslmenow , don't know what your rattling could be from.. is your exhaust or pipe rubbing on anything?

 

I have a worldsport with no rattle. Make sure you have clearance around your gas tank. I had to adjust mine a little to keep it from rattling.

whats a world tour??? Do you mean world sport??
If you do ive never heard rattling problems with it-make sure everything is tightend and its not rubbing any exhaust heat shields

 

EXCELLENTE!!

 

SLPR 95 Si with Apex-i WS and never a rattle to be heard from it.
Take a peek underneath. A rattle should produce some sort of rub on the piping, then you'll know where the problem is and can deal with it acordingly.

Seeming that the WS is a three part cat-back, I'd suggest careful tplacement while tightening the bolts. Worked for me.

Did you cut your front bumper to get some sort of makeshift grille?

 

what kinda front bumper do you have?

 

how does it sound with the test pipe? sorry for no help.

 

check the gasket between the header and the cat that was my problem, that dnout gasket is makes all kinds of crazy noise if it is damaged

 

my WS was rubbing against the gas tank when i first installed it. it was nothing that a little heat from a torch on the mouting arms wouldnt fix. it was really annoying for thse first two days though. since i adjusted the brackets, it has been perfect. also, same question as the other guy, how does it sound with the test-pipe. you should have a really good comparison now that you and your friend both have them - one with test pipe and one with cat conv. thanks for the info.

the test pipe makes it sound crazy......it pops! around 3500 RPM. my accord colored civic is a dx and some how i beat my friends ex .... dx = cat back / test pipe / intake /.......

...DX - no power options are dope!
(maybe less heavy...... anyone know the weight difference between dx.ex ... none right)

 

my friend has a world sport and it rattled so we jacked it up and took a looks and the piping was rudding on the shift links, so we had to unbolt the piping and flip it over, and that was that no more rattle

 

huh.. the little black strip...
some *** hole backed up into me and a paint chip flaked off ....
dont have the money now to fix so some 2$ vinyl worked just nice....

..easy cheezy....

 

Can you give me the part number for the WS for 92 Si?

 

the side skirts and lip are off the newer civics......
ghetto installed.... it fit nice .... but there is an inch of extra space at each end of the lip.....side skirts fit just fine...... i guess they are more flared...

I have rattling on my WS as well. I have the 92-95 SI catback exhaust on a 1993 CX. I only rattles when I let off the throttle at around 2000-3000 RPM. I jacked up the car, and I noticed that the piping comes really close to the heat shield. I think for some reason at around these RPM, the resonation from the piping causes the heat shield to vibrate.

Anyone else experienced this same problem? I have talked to several other people who have the WS for their hatches, and they all had the same problem. A solution would be nice! I don't think removing the heat shield is such a good idea; afterall, doesn't it protect the gas tank from heat?
