Default Recaros or Sparcos?

hey guys, i recently just took a loan out and i have some extra money and was thinking about buying myself some sport seats. I've narrowed down my choices to Sparco Torinos or Recaro SRDs. Does anyone have any real life experience with each? My stock leather 95 seats aren't really holding me in anymore although they sure look like they do! It might just be that my fat *** as squished them to much. Oh well, any help would be great guys.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Oh, if anyone has any pics of the either the sparcos or recaros in preludes, give me a link or post em up!

won't be selling my seats, sorry.

I'm 6'1" 205 lbs. I've been browsing the web and it seems that the SRDs are better meant for leaner individuals. So how about the Recaro 'sport' seats?

I have a pair of Sparco Torinos. They should definitely come with a "no fat chicks" warning label. I am 6' 170lbs, and they fit me like a glove.

I'm looking to sell my set. They are red Torinos with Sparco brackets and sliders for a 5th gen. But I'm sure that they can be adapted for the 4th gen seat bolt pattern. Email me if interested. You are close enough that you could come pick them up...

I have sat in Sparco Torinos and Recaro's that were SRDs or least looked like SRDs and the Sparco's were a much tighter fit and more to my liking.

why are you selling them akluc? How are the thigh bolsters? Do they give enough support around turns? That seems to be my stock seats' weakness and well as shoulder support. I have to brace myself with my thigh on the door and i can't take it anymore. Let me know the pros and cons of the seats. Point out everything if you can, i would really appreciate it.
I may be interested, but your color scheme may be a little to much for me.

Ahhhhhhhhh, how are corbeau seats? They seem to be a great deal.
Also, what is the main difference between the Sparco Milanos and Torinos? Does one have more aggresive bolstering than the other? From what i read, the only difference seems to be adjustable lumbar support and different cloth options(alcantara or Jacquard). Decisions, decisions....

gills, do not buy corbeau carreras. I had them before and the fabric is not very durable. I sold them and would probably never buy corbeau seats again. As for the difference between the torinos and milanos, they are the same seat except the milanos are more fitted for bigger/wider people, so I've heard and been told. As for the Recaro SRDs, it depends on which SRD you get, if it is the Japanese one, it will be tigher for you to fit in...but if it is the US SRD, you'll fit in it just fine. I've sat in both and there is a difference between the two in terms of side bolsters. Hope that helps...if I were you, I'd go with the US Recaro SRDs. Fabrics are also different between the JDM and US SRDs.

I have sparco torinos...i'm 6'0, 175 lbs and I fit perfectly. Personally, i think the SRD's are more comfortable....especially in the legs, underneath your thighs.....but they are twice as expensive as torinos. Don't get me wrong, the torinos are 100x better than the stock seats, and they look great
as far as the milanos go, from what I saw on http://www.sparcousa.com, the milano doesn't have the anti-abrasion strips on the bolsters, and they are made from different materials....and much more expensive

here are some pictures of my seats: http://community.webshots.com/user/s21477rmc

Well, i'm still doing research on which to get. From the information i've gathered it seems that the JDM Recaros are SR and USDM are called SRD and are in fact bigger for suiting our fat western asses. But still, i've got people telling me it might be a little tight of a fit and others saying that i'll be ok. I also was told that the milanos/torinos are more contoured for your lower back and may be more comfortable. And yes, the milanos are slightly bigger than the torinos for "larger" frames but not by much. The Alcantara(suede-like. Like the IS300 seats which is always nice) fabric and adjustable lumbar support is the main differences of the milano and torino.
Now, i've priced out both and the difference is 100 bucks between the 2. Milano being more. That includes everything(shipping, brackets...) Yes, i'm only getting 1 seat and you may think that's ghetto, but it's me driving the car and not the passenger, so screw him/her Also, i have to conserve my funds

Is it going to be this:

or this:

If anyone has any personal experience with the 2, please feel free to give me unbiased information.

My friend has the milanos, and I didn't think they were that comfortable, but I haven't sat in many racing seats that are. They just seemed a little hard for my taste. For all I know though, the recaros could be worse. I really have no direct frame of reference except for the brides I just got, so don't base your decision on my opinion.

I like them. They have a softer seat than the sparcos but have some pretty big bolsters on the bottom part. They are also a pretty snug fit, even if you're skinny. I feel like some people couldn't even fit in them, since the sides are so high and narrow. It's hard to say how they feel though when I am just sitting in them on my living room floor.

I sat in aklucsarits's seats when they were in 99prelude's car and I liked them. Hell I might take them.
