1992 Honda Accord: How to Replace Speedometer Instrument Cluster?
Hi,
I am trying to replace my friend 1992 Honda Accord Instrument Cluster and was wondering if you guys/gals know how to get to it. I attempted to but am having a hard time. If there are pictures illustration on how to get to the cluster, then that would be great. Thanks again.

you need to remove the whole trim around it, which is done by removing screws behind the vents, behind the 2 trays, and the cruise and dimmer switches. Also remove the center console (6 screws) and then there are some more screws behind that. this just gets off the trim around the cluster. once that is done though there are only 4 screws holding on the cluster.
I think I got as far as removing the frame around the cluster but I think I am having a problem with removing the center console. When you say the 2 tray, what are you referring to there? Do you remove the radio or not?
the console has 3 screws on either side, one on the back, one in the middle, and one in the front. Then if i remember correctly, there are two screws on either side of the ashtray/lighter, whisch are normally covered by the console. And yes, the radio needs to come out.
the radio needs to come out? damn, I had a hard time taking that out. There are 2 screws(on the top) that holds the radio in the back, correct? I was able to take one out but the one on the driver side had no space for me to take it out. Can you assist me in this. Thanks.
go to this site to learn how to the radio out. http://www.installdr.com/
