Default Group Buy on Custom Intercoolers... Would Anyone Be interested?

I have a friend of mine who is interested in doing a Group buy for some custom intercoolers. We have used one of his cores on our Turbo Z6 Hatch. The intercooler is very large, and fits very good in the 5g Civics.

Core Size: 30in (wide) x 5 1/4in (tall) x 2in (deep)
End Tanks: 2.25 (wide) x 5 3/8in (tall) x 3in (deep)
Piping: 2.5 OD x 1.25 thick / 2.75in Long

Heres the Deal, the only come in one size, we cannot chop them in half and make them shorter. If you want polished end tanks that is an extra 15 bucks.

A simple Group Buy of 5 units for $200 bucks a peice.. This hasnt officially started yet, I just wanted to know if their was an interest in this item.

Let me Know..

Thanks
Jeff Frank

It says in the post...

Core Size: 30in (wide) x 5 1/4in (tall) x 2in (deep)
End Tanks: 2.25 (wide) x 5 3/8in (tall) x 3in (deep)
Piping: 2.5 OD x 1.25 thick / 2.75in Long

Now dont ask me if this will fit in your Integra, because I dont have a clue, I recommend you taking off your bumper taking some measurements and visualize how you will run your charge pipes. 5g Civics are a peice of cake to install this, but it may be tougher on differnt cars.

I will be honest with you, for Price.. Function and looks this intercooler is a great deal. It works excellent, hardly any pressure drop at all. Being 2 in. thick is nothing really to be concerned about. The fact that it is so long can make it tough to install on some cars. If you are good at modifying things this should be no big deal at all. On the civic we installed that cooler on, their was some slight shaving we had to do to the backside of the bumper, and thats about it. Charge pipe routing was very easy.

what are you guys talking about??? this kit looks damn near perfect for turbo civics, turbo civic w/ swaps, and potentially other integras... i'm in for sure, there's no need to go messin around w/ $500+ intercoolers just for a name, in my opinion. and for all the guys w/ stock bumpers this is a bonus because it fills in the whole opening! look on ebay, there's a guy that sells custom made fmic's that are going for $100 more than these and i think they are smaller.

not to **** on your thread, but I bought an IC from a guy in Vancouver Canada and he used the exact same pictures you did. Strange.BTW I paid $575 CAD for mine. as for taller is better. this ic (if its the same) is pretty much the same size as the opening in the factory bumper. any taller and you have to remove the rebar.

I hope this is not a scam. good price on this size IC.

on my car

the only mod needed were to the side "vents" in the bumper. need to cut out the grilles to fit in the plumbing. I wonder if he bought the IC's from you guys?

rjardy - I will make another Post for the offical group buy on this item, It should be very shortly.

paul_vang - like I said its the only size they are going to come in. They fill the entire front mount of most civics.

ijjz - For 4g civics, I honestly dont know.. I am getting one for myself to try in my 89 Crx SI. I am sure their will be some modifications to get it to fit nicly.

Turbo E - I am sure you have seen these coolers around ebay, since my buddy sells them their and off his website. http://tjn115.tripod.com/icweb.htm

This is no type of scam at all, I am just helping a friend out on a group buy.

So far we got a few people interested... Anymore?

As long as the IC doesnt need serious modifications, the bumper I can live with hacking the inside up. If you can let me know, then I would like to be in on this. I'd go measure my self, but I currently have no tools here until I get home.
