Hey guys, newbie here, got a question that have any of you guys fit a 99-00 Si front lip on an EG and what you guys had to modify to make it fit.

wen i fit the lip on my car there is a gap around each end ot the front bar, what did you guys use to fill the gap etc

dude i have that lip but it made for a EG! this is what it looks like but this is not my car. and the lip is still new never been painted.

 

has anybody used a real 99-00 si lip?

or did everyone get the type R lip that was made for the EG?

cuz i was thinkin of gettin the Si lip....to fit onto the Eg..however if it doesn't fit then i am goin to forget about buying it

it fits but i think you have to cut the ends because the lip is wider than the bumper. but it can be ghetto-rigged to fit, and different people make up different methods. if i were you i'd get the lip made for the eg just because it will look better and fit better.

Thats not a SI lip, its called the type R lip. This lip is more aggresive looking than the SI.

 

To answer your Q, u can use nuts or washers in between the gap.

 

its called molding it by using screws.

use a counter sink bit. then mold/screw it in.

then proceed to fill in the holes sand and paint.

btw those type r lips fit like shiet cuz all it is a ek si lip shortened to fit our cars.

I thought the SI lips had to be cut in the middle and shortened to make them fit on 5th gen's. I'm not sure

 

No its not, the SI is smaller looking. The type R lip is bigger , it has bigger FANGS

No, just the front lip. The sides are stock.

 

I fitted it on my del sol and it looks good, with just really small gaps, on each ends, but nobody has noticed them yet, and I just use some screws and screwed it into the bumper, looks very good and clean!
