going from an 89 CRX SI cluster to a 91 hatch SI cluster, what are the wiring changes in the harness? thanks!!

look at the chart for 90 crx si..that is the pin out you want. you can also refer to the printed circuit board on the back of the cluster to trace pins to sensors..it's not too hard. when you repin you will have to lengthen a few wires as well.

 

the only noticeable difference between my guage cluster plugs is the middle connector on the 91. it is a 5 wires plug, only 3 wires in it on the 89, the 91 plug has all 5. any ideas? thanks.

rewired the 2 main plugs, any ideas on the middle? on the 89, it has 3 pins, on the 91 there are all 5! thanks!

 

bump--- if i remove the VSS amp on the back of the cluster, will it throw a check engine light?? thanks.
