h22a kits
i was thinking about doing the h22a swap in my EG. i been doin some research on it and it sounds kinda hard. if i were to do the swap in my car and decided to take it out and put the d series motor back in. what would i need to do ? would i have to take the mounts back out? i was going to buy either place racing, hcp, or hasport.

whatever you do....
Do NOT get Place racing mounts.
Get HCP or Hasport.
You can go back to stock if you wish because these kits are bolt in.....dunno if place racing is or not, but i do know that PR sucks a nut

heh..no, I don't have the swap completed just yet.
It will be very soon though
I know a few people that are running Hasport mounts, and they're great.
I know a few people that are running HCP mounts, and they too are just great.
Only real difference is the Hasport mounts are billeit, and the engine is positioned differently. HCP are not billit. HCP allows for slightly more room up front and has an optional A/C bracket (which will fit with Hasport mounts as well. Hasport has their own a/c bracket coming out soon though).
Anyway, both make great mounts.
What it boiled down to for me was the price.
HCP goes for ~$350 or so. Hasport goes for ~$550.
Take your pick...either way you cannot go wrong.

Re: h22a kits (H22EK)
does hcp mounts involve any cutting? i would like to do the swap then when i sell my car i want to be able to put back in the d series motor. with all the modifications involved i just want to make sure i can put the stock motor back in. since u have to cut a bigger hole for the shifter and stuff.

all you need to do is cut the hole for the shifter cables, mounts bolt in , the hole for the cables could be easily covered if you went back to stock!!!!!
