Just wanted to give everyone a heads up regarding the results at NHRA @ sears point.
Austin took home a 1st place NHRA Wally trophy for winning the ET brackets out of a 70+ car field. If I'm correct he hit a best of 13.8 something. He took home the $700 cash purse as well as a a killer win at NHRA. To those new to drag racing, the ET brackets are 12sec-faster and 12sec-slower. (very basic/slim description) You have to dial in your time and keep hitting that time as close as possible. Who ever hits closest to the dail-in time you choose (between you and the guy next to you) wins. Its very driver skilled since hitting a time with in a thousandth of a second matters (which austin actually did on 1 run).
Congrats again to Austin. Job well done.

I was also there...I'm the owner of the black type r on bogarts...I had the AREA51 winshield sticker on...I had clutch problems the whole weekend...I couldnt power shift...Whenever i power shift from 1st to 2nd, the lutch pedal gets stock to the ground and slowly pops back out...My buddy talked to skunk2 and they said had the same problem with the clutchmasters clutch, they said,"the pressure plate is defective"...So with granny shifting on bogarts, my best time was 13.4 @ 101mph...My buddy hit 13.7 mishift on second with a trap speed of 104mph...Well, I got to meet AUSTIN, showed me his WALLY TROPHY...CONGRATS AUSTIN!!!!!!...
Nice win. A very interesting theme to drag racing (well i've never heard of it).........
Couldn't you just have a stopwatch or something and say 17 seconds when your car can run 13's?

good job austin!
all this w/o toda power?!?!?!?!!!!!!
wait, so with this, it's pretty much "consistency right"?
like u try to run the same time over and over?
or is it like, each run, i will improve by .25 or something?

This was bracket racing...there were to classes, under 14.99, and over 14.99, I was in the 14.99 and quicker category...there were ~112 racers in my class, and it took me 7 rounds to win. I had a dial in time of 13.9, mainly because I knew that I was able to hit that number very consistantly, as my clutch was slipping and I was having a little trouble with launching because of that. The closest that I got to my 13.90 dial in was a 13.915, everything else was within .15 of my dial in time.
My fastest time in the morning time trials was a 13.84 @ 98mph, with a 2.2, or a 2.1 60ft time...which leads me to believe that I have a much faster car once the clutch is fixed
. I did run a couple of times on the brakes during the ET races, had a 14.0 @ 92mph, 14.1 @ 87mph.
Austin - who is still tired after 9 hours of sleep

yeah I saw that happen. Crazy. I was in the main control tower booth when it happened. It was crazy seeing that. On a lighter note (since he's ok and his car is amazingly ok) I wonder if his head tripped the light beam for the end of the run since he was upside down when it happened.
