Got the motor in over the past few days. Ended up taking the alternator off before it would go in with out scrapping the **** out of my shock tower. But after that is fell right in.

Motor is still just as clean as it was last time I showed it to you. But here it is in natural light.

The motor after it is in. Looks like I need to clean that intake arm up a bit. I also need to repaint my header heatshield and then I will put that in.


Couple of notes. This is a 2000 ITR swap. I used a 96-98 EX harness, but had to heavily modify almost every connector to get it to the right place with the right amount of slack.

The clutch line on the d motor was hard all the way to the back of the tranny, where it met a rubber hose to the firewall. On the b tranny the hardline ends in front of the tranny, where it meets a rubber hose on the frame rail on an EG and DC.

So instead of trying to modify or make a hardline on the b tranny, I just got some GoodRidge brake line fittings and some TFE braided line and made a hose from the firewall, over the tranny, to the stock hardline on the b tranny.

Curious as to what other people did here.

All I need now is a CAT, and I can start breaking it in.

Oh and it idles fine, and no CEL's with a JDM ITR Ecu that I picked up from "Brian" tonight.

Also, I want to thank Trey Sullivan and his 6G tech over at the Hybrid Garage. His bracket information was DEAD on, and my AC works and everything.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,a/c too.

 

I took my stock motor out last thursday.

Once I put my tranny onto the B motor, I found that I needed to extend a bunch of plugs.

Putting the motor in the car took about 5 minutes after we took the alternator off. Then it is just a matter of hooking everything up, installing axels, shift linkage etc etc.

clean clean... i just kinda made the stock ek clutch hardline work by bending it slightly into the right position. I think I may go back and do a SS line like you to look a little cleaner.

my wiring was easier than yours as i have a 99, so I just used a 99-00 Si Harness, and everything plugged right up.

what airbox and tube did you use? Did you install the resonator with that airbox or is it just an open hole on the bottom?

Get a JDM header and sms products cat and you'll be straight. Good luck!

 

Yep, did the entire rebuild myself, and my buddy Walter (www.velascoracing.com) helped me drop in the motor and the other nick nack stuff you need to do with a swap.

That is a CTR intake tube and airbox with a K&N drop in. I dont have the resonator box, but I do have a aluminum dryer hose that goes from the hole in the bottom of the box to the fender well area.

I was running this intake with my stock motor, and without that tube the airbox goes " WUOOOOOOOOOOOOO" under acceleration

 

It is probably different for the EH's. All you need is the bracket that matches your AC compressor and you are set.

As far as I know, any b series AC bracket will work as a mount. but not all of them will accept your AC compressor.

Everything is for sale, but I am not shipping the block, head or tranny. Not worth the hassle.

The injectors and MAP sensor are already sold though.

I have everything else. some mounts, axles that dont click, etc. Everything that was replaced I have.

I scrubbed the **** out of it. It was completely tore down and rebuilt. I even cleaned the bolts. Simple green and Scotch Brite pads are all you need.

 

im curious to see your setup with the SS brakelines for the clutch hardlines. i'd like to do the same since i just used the CX parts. do you have a picture of it? tia

Very clean I used the civic hard line and bent it as needed. Kind of ghetto but it works, yeah more pics of the lines

Props! Looks like the top radiator hose needs to be trimmed though. Isn't it crimped next to the air cleaner housing? Or is that just a shadow?
