So you're saying those headers have a 63.5mm ID collector? That'd be 2.5" on the ID for the collector for those headers which I thought were 2.5" OD.

 

i'm not exactly sure.. that is information i gathered from searching around

btw.. trying to gather ID measurments

 

OD will be simpler i.e. people can go out and measure the pipe work, ID can be worked out if wall thickness is known in the case of the primaries and b-section, but the collector may be a problem as some are double layered like the Honda JDM one and some like the DCSport JDM 4-1 aren't.

I can probably measure the ODs on my DCSport JDM 4-1 for you later.

Almost all the JDM 4-2-1s (Toda, Jun, Spoon, T1) are 45mm Primaries and 50mm secondaries. These are of course OD measurements because tubing is spec'd by OD x wall thickness. The Mugen 4-1 has 45mm primaries. The DC JDM has 1-3/4" primaries. All the above have 65mm OD collectors. Each of the designs taper to the 65mm intheir ownway.

The Comp Tech 4-2-1 has 1-1/2"x1-5/8" stepped primaries and 1-3/4" secondaries with a 2" collector. The DC 4-2-1 has 1-5/8" primaries and 1-3/4" secondaries with a 2" collector.

 

I have a Vernier's caliper, if I remember, next time I do an oil change I'll measure the dimensions on my header.

 

"Metricized" so easier to compare... 1 Inch (in) x 25.4 = Millimetres (mm)
Rounded to nearest 1/2mm


DC JDM 4-1: 44.5mm primaries --> 65mm collector.
Comp Tech 4-2-1: 38mmx41mm stepped primaries --> 44.5mm secondaries --> 51mm collector.
DC 4-2-1: 41mm primaries --> 44.5mm secondaries --> 51mm collector

The IB JG Header collector is 2-1/2" OD as is mine. Just the JDM headers have the 65mm OD collectors.
