A shop in my town is selling a JDM front en conversion kit in sheet metal and urethane with the HID for a really good price.

Could someone give me a list of all the parts needed for the conversion (that are and are not supposed to be included).

Also, how do I make sure that the headlights are HID?

I just want to avoid being ripped off...the price seems too good to be true

 

Search

look for ballasts and the headlight housings dont have lines going across the low beam projectors.

you get what you pay for.

 

I've already done a search and I haven't found a complete list...

I would be really greteful if someone could post a pic of both the HID and the non-HID headlights

most kits dont come with fender brackets. all u nned to do is bend the OEM ones down. its really easy. the hood latch and cable usually dont come with it as well. all u need to do is get a 93 integra one. there also should be bumper extenstion

left and right bumper ext. whats that? isnt that the bumper support? splashguard and fenderliner arent the same thing?

 

Fender brackets??? Someone care to shed some light on this one since i have never seen nor heard anyone talk about these before on a JDM conversion. I'm about to start mine and want to make sure that i have everything when i get started.

Search archived posts..... the topic has been covered ad nauseum, and there are several how-to's with pics.

 

i am doing my conversion as well and i have talked with some people in japan and all i needed was the headlights fenders front bumper and the hood . you can also tell if they are hids bye looking on the back of the headlight the bulb for the projector should be a big box plugged into it the only thing that you might need but not in all cases is the jdm radiator support..

 

USDM is my prefrence, JDM is nice as hell... just like the us enough not to spend that much money. Enjoy tha convers0nz

 

Wow, that is one of the best parts list with part number I have seen. When I did mine, I didnt have all the right screws and bolts either so watch out for that. They cost a **** load at the dealer. Didnt really use a 93 hood latch, just grind down the metal to make it fit. Still looks fine. I have a carbon fiber hood, but was wondering if anyone knew of any special rubbers/parts(parts number) I can put around the trim to keep out the water during car washes and rain season? My .02

I can't find many of these part numbers on the internet.. I.E. R front bumper extension 71138-ST7-J60ZZ, L front bumper extension 71148-ST7-J60ZZ. What are bumper extensions and where do I get them if no one offers them in the US any more?

Also what are fender brackets? It sounds like they are a spacer that goes in between the fender and where it lays on top of the frame for alignment.

I'm not sure the difference here either. I know i typed in that part number for fender liners at sonsacuraparts.com and it came up as 94-97 integra part. I thought the fenderliners on jdm integras were different then usdm.

You don't need the fender brackets but you can buy them from passwordjdm and I don't know what the parts you just listed are. The only parts you can get from Honda or Acura are the clips and bolts. The bumper support and reinforcement bar have to bought from a place like ICB or passwordjdm.

You don't need to buy new fender liners, you can modify your usdm fender liners.

you don't need the fender brackets, but they give your fenders much needed support. i'd recomend using them
