MPH...91.71!! I was amazed by my MPH ..That should set me well in the mid to high 14's with better traction ..I spun through 1st and 2nd ..sometimes got traction in 1st but then hit 2nd and spun till about 6k :\ ....Please with my first time though

Your times look pretty good for racing the car for the first time. Drop those 60 fts and you will see lower times. I ran a 14.8@94 with my b16a 4dr after some practice. So I think with some practice you should be in the 14's.

 

Yea my 60ft time blows *** ...I need on gettin it around 2.0 but traction is such a problem

Anyone else with s1 trannys having to go into 4th in the 1/4 ?? I had to a pretty good amount before the line..I held strong with a 2002 GT with some mods to I was on his rear!

I've got an S1 and I'm about halfway through 4th through the traps... 96mph trap speed on average.

Those are some good times for a 1st timer!

Thanks man ....Im a great driver on the street but, not use to the track quite yet ..Hopefuly ill get better

 

i got a J1 tranny on my LS, im at the very end of 4th gear when I reach the end of the track...my fastest time so far is a 15.1@90mph w/ 2.3 60ft...I have only ran it 3 times at the track, im hoping for better times next time.

 

Nice same times problems get that 60ft down to 2.1 or so and see 14's

 

In my old car with B20vtec and Y1 I sometimes shifted into fifth before the end of the 1/4! It was crazy.

Swap your 17s for some 14s and I promise you will net a 14 sec time slip.

 

17's only weight 16lbs each But I plan to next time so i can let them down to 25 psi

its not a matter of weight
its the matter of circunference and size of rim. the bigger it is, the more it takes it to rotate, slower ur times...... use some 15's and u will be faster!...

It wasn't towards you at all, I've never been to the track. I just meant hypotheticlly if you went to the track and got some amazingly high time what happens? I really think your car rocks, please don't take any offense to my prior post.

 

Oh gotcha man..thought you were sayin I got laughed at or something ..Didnt follow ...well usualy you just dont get respect from other if your running 17's or highier ....My fault man ...Just didnt understand it

 

It depends on what you're running 18s in. If it's a near-stock Vega you'll get respect

 

Or in my case you have a Mustang 5.0 and it blows up still running a 17 you get respect

 

From my point of view I see the B18 as some big dream engine that I can't get, how do ZCs claim mid 15s often and same with B16's? Is suspension and slicks a HUGE factor or something?

 

slicks can cut down .5's sometimes ....Suspenion maybe .2 is its stiff enough in the rear ....so thats almost a full second with slicks and stiff *** rear suspenion

 

If B16s and B18s are in the mid 15s it's due to lack of practice or serious mechanical deficiencies...

Suspension does make a big difference.

 

for realz...id be in the 15's if i didnt leave my sub, tent, bagfull of clothes in my car, plus the fact that my stock clutch is slipping now...

18's...hmm...you'd be like every other honda civic auto at the track...

hmm...i did beat a camaro iroc-z last night, i liked that...he got a 16.7...and last time i beat a gsx he got a 16.5...

but mainly i race for my reaction time, and personal best...

 

get some 15's please and get some slicks for the track drag racing is nothing untill you put on some slicks
