Default B16A2 in a 88 Accord?

Just like the topic says, is that easily done, or even possible? I'm looking at buying a Accord for a new driver in the house and I have a B16A2 from my 2000 Si.

I advise you not flame Accords in the Accord forum. Take it outside.

Well, the B series motors are the only ones that bolt into the 3g's. And the low cost of the B16 makes it ideal for swapping.

Hey rocket scientist, the B16A2 IS from a 99-00 Si.

Know for those who answeres were helpful thanks, and for the rest with the comments like "whats the point" if that is your reply than keep it to yourself because it doesn't help my question. Saying "whats the point" is like saying why build a 1G Teg, or why build a CRX... The point is that I have the swap and I came across a good deal on a very clean accord and just wanted to know if it was possible.

I don't have a clue as to what fits and what won't on a Honda........YET so I can't comment on that. Be forewarned though, I learn quickly.

As far as "what's the point" ? What's the point to modifying or swapping anything ? It's a free country, if it will fit and you want to do it, GO FOR IT. Just the fact that people tell me something CAN'T be done is all the reason I need to try it.

Default My 3rd Gen Swap

Can't we all just get along??? God!

Look, the link above belongs to my 88 Accord and i performed this swap back on 98 when the hole B series **** was rocking! Couldn't afford the B18 cuz it was way over $3k!

Also, the swap was done by welding and aligning the motor to specs. No engine mounts or wire harness kits were available back then like there is now from PlaceRacing.com

Anyhow my car only has minor mods like intake and exaust. No headers or clutch, but i do have a 60 shot dry and that threw me into the high 13's! So i guess this hole project and money spending is paying off little by little.

You can check my site http://vtecnos.tripod.com for all the details of my engine mods to give you a better clue.

Cheers!

you better be prepaired to post some slips of your lousy ITR.

13's arent too shabby for a 3g w/b16a... would definatly suprise the **** out of a lot of honda's on the street.
