Ok, the source I was going to buy through doesn't have anymore and isn't sure when they'll make more up. He said there just isn't the demand and he'd need to make 30. It sucks because they're really nice and don't require any welding.
My question now is, what are you using, how much was it, where can I get one, does it require welding, what type of "teeth" does it have, and will it fit a '94 Civic DX and a OMP wheel?
edit~ maybe if I can get more people interested, he'll build more. The price my friend paid was around $179'ish.

I've got a Smart Racing QR setup that mates to the Mugen/Momo adapter. I thought it was pretty good till I felt Victors OMP QR. The OMP is utterly without slop, whereas mine has developed a "little" slop. Victors setup is all based on a bolt on spline adapter - I'm pretty sure - OMP I think. Sorry I don't have the fine details.
Scott, who never thought he could accept ANY slop...now thinks he couldn't accept ANY MORE slop.....it's a dollar thing really....

Are you sure it was OMP? I've been searching a lot recently and I've never run across an OMP one... and nothing is listed in their catalog. Maybe it's no longer available.
What I've found:

http://www.tekniqauto.com/US/home.htm
Race system is roughly $120 w/MOMO adapter. You don't need the Tekniq hub as they imply, but you do need some sort of adapter.

http://www.finishlineperformance.com...tion&key=I1113
http://www.ltbmotorsport.com/dilquicrelhu.html
Dilysi Hub adapter - $115-120
Bolts on to a hub adapter.
TrueChoice sells several kinds. Go to this link:
http://www.truechoice.com/catalog/pd...p/default.html
Then find the link to "Quick Release Hubs" in the top frame (page 76).

http://www.upgrademotoring.com/qwikrelease.htm
This is a reasonably priced kit that doesn't need an additional adapter.

http://www.smart-racing.com/ProdCat/...20Comforts.htm
Smart Racing has been mentioned
Sparco
Formular: $229

Tuning: $329

Racing: $299

These prices are from Options. http://www.optauto.com
I've been wanting to ask this same question, but have been holding off. I personally don't want anything that welds on... like many of the longacre 3-bolt style stuff. I would like to find something with little or no "slop". I'd love to find out what victor was using if you think that was a good setup.

I also found this, but the shops that sell it only appear to have it for BMW's, or Porche's or whatever they're specializing in.

http://gsperformance.com/products/hub/hub.htm
I like it because it's got variable spacing, but again, I've yet to find anything for a Honda.

Check out the "roundy round boys." That is, the circle track venders, like Colman or Lefthander. Just as good and much cheaper.
Edit: Oh, and the usual way these are installed are with dowel pins. No welding, mostly because of the consequences of having a weld crack....

yea, like this one for $39.99

Notice the resemblance to the $120 one above? The problem is, they all seem to be weld-on... and only for 3-bolt wheels. The other disadvantage of this is that it actually moves the wheel farther away from you... which is just the opposite of what I'm trying to accomplish. Anyway....

Thanks all. I have a OMP wheel just waiting to go in the car. The release I wanted was from a place called Rotary Performance. My friend has one in his Spec Miata. The package he bought came with a Momo Hub and the quick-release adapter. The release thingy installed "in between" the top of the hub and the backside of the wheel. This is what I'm looking for.
~edit~ All the hubs (Momo, Sparco, ect.) are basically universal and fit the OMP wheel bolt pattern.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this should be a part where you simply look for the cheapest possible alternative? I saw what happened to a car on the track when the quick disconnect wheel came off at speed, and I wouldn't be so quick to throw a cheap one on my car. This is a safety component, not just something to make your car look cool. Don't cheap out on it.

Good point Matt. Looking for the "cheapest" one is not, and was never my goal. In fact, I'd rather spend the dough for a quality adapter.

Don't be too quick to discount something 'cause it's not at the Momo price point. ****, the Momo adapter for the 3 hole hub is cheap-*** cast aluminium that they sell for $70-$80.
I have the sparco tuning on my setup and its super sick...negligeable play, but I think its almost impossible for any quick release to be without a tad from my experience...havent heard anything bad about the tekniq product...looks like another alternative at a better cost!

I have the SPA design quick release. I bought it from Pegasus and it required a little fab to make it all work with my set-up but the piece itself is outstanding and I have seen the same piece on a lot of CART cars and a few F1 cars, of course the steering wheels that are that they have attatched are worth two or three of my whole car!

Just an update. Jeremy (Geratol) was nice enough to send one like this up for me to "try-before-I-buy". In fact, this is exactally like the one I saw in Ron's Spec Miata and was trying to buy in the first place.
It works well and has little slop. There's literally no left-to-right slop at all as you turn the wheel. There is some slight movement in-and-out if you tug on the wheel though. We took out both air bags, the control box, and all the air bag related wiring harnesses at the same time. What a pain, but it's got to be worth about 15 pounds.

PS. Jeremy, IM me. I need your mailing address.

Thanks for the update. From the pictures, this seemed like a decent piece.
Can you tell me how much further this moves the steering wheel out? I'm trying to decide if I want a dished wheel in addition to something like this or if that would make it too close.

I have the Upgrade motors version. 150 bucks. Bolts on. When I first had it, there was very little slop. Months later, it has a little slop. Not if you tug on it, but up, down, left, right. But YOU WILL NOT NOTICE. It will rattle if you aren't too sure gripped driving over brick. But then the whole car rattles anyway (STIFF). Get a dished wheel. I'm six foot tall, my wheel is not dished, my arms get tired. So I also have a two inch extension. It's not too close. IMO.

Question on dish.
If one was to get a momo adapter for specific car and a zero dish wheel does this put the wheel at the stock distance?
Need to know in order to decide how much extension/dish.
Also, do different momo adapters(Honda) fit yet each is different only in length?
Is Momo the prefered adapter?
