VIDEO.....Me doing some ass kicking at the track.....
http://12.252.41.25/sbiggi/bryson.wmv
This was taken at High School drags on Monday.
The ZC turbo was running great, but I couldn't seem to get the car launched. The Video is actually my worst run at 16.1 at 95mph, As my 60 ft ******* sucked! (3.2)....I was racing a big ole muscle car too that ran a 17.5, and just notice how fast I passed him!
My best run was a 15.4 at 98mph (2.7 60ft)
I need more practice at launching, and then I should easily be in the 14's.
And before any of you *** holes go and say **** like "well my stock D16 N/A'd pulls 14's".....remember that this is at 6000ft!!!!
At sea level I would be doing 13's easy!

No....I bogged it
Every time after that it was a 2.7 though....and I just spun the Azenis's
I tryed to launch at 3000

what kinda power is your Turbo ZC putting down? Im swapping a ZC right now. I was hoping to get a ZC into the low 13's or high 12's but it looks like that is pushing the limits of this EF. I may actually sell and buy something that has a greater potential. but ****.. tht always costs more $$$

Really though, the 60fts are what's killing you. A 15.4 isn't going to transfer to 13s at sea level... I would estimate your sea level run to be about a 14.3 or 14.4. Either way, that, plus your bad 60ft times definitely scream 13 second car. Good work. It sucks to be in CO because people never recognize how much of a difference that makes.
*** The more I think about how high 6000ft is, you MAY be able to hit a really high 13 at sea level under good conditions. You mph is high for a 15.4 run.
Either way, good work!
THREE EDITS... My own personal record...
This may be helpful....
Denver, CO - ALT: 5800 ET C/F: .9276 MPH C/F: 1.0773

....Why does NO ONE have any idea how ALTITUDE Plays a role in HP and Therfore 1/4 mile times?
GOD DAMN!!!
At 0-1000 ft, I would be running 13's....and would have beaten a god damn 16 second car!!!

...and we're sure glad your newb *** is being a ***** and also that you posted pics of your ******* beater. Nice... I think you hacksawed too many coils off one side of the car's springs. Oh, and you forgot to paint it.
Dude, don't be a *****.

at 6000ft, I believe you can have up to a 30% loss in power it's about 3psi less air pressure, correct? so, yes it makes a HUGE difference. Once my father was driving to CO and he thought the damn rental car was broken because it had no goddamned power going up the mountains, but (after swapping it out for another that did the same) he realized it was the damn altitude!

take some pressure out of the azenis
you should be in the 2.3 range.
try 2500~ launches with 24psi in the tires
make sure you do a quick burnout to get the crap off the tires.

Here is the simple math... 15.4 X .9276 [conversion factor] = 14.285
98 X 1.0773 [conversion factor] = 105 mph
Converted for sea level you should be in the ball park of 14.285 @ 105mph.
The MPH is high enough for 13s, but the ET converts to low 14s...
As for the VR4, altitude would play about the same difference, so it may be low 14 second car at sea level, but its probably running high 15s at 6000 ft.
What more do you want? I feel like the NHRA's numbers are more accurate than just saying it should run 13s at sea level.
I feel for you man, I hate our altitude as well...And yes, with those trap speeds I would assume with even a halfway descent launch at sea level your in the 13's relatively easlily...
And BTW, he's not a newb, nearly a 1000 posts...

I feel your pain too, man. It sucks being at 5800 ft. Not many people realize that it does make that big of a difference. And some people, not to mention any names, always have to start flaming.
Whats really sad though....is that it always seem to be this forum that flames over my 4 other forums....And I post the exact same posts!
Anyone just looking to be an *** hole has found this forum to vent for some reason....

Yeah....my car is dead silent besides the turbo spooling, and the BOV.
Whats werid though, is that the Turbo and BOV were actually loud enough to hear from the parking lot, but for some reason, didn't trasfer to the video. Kinda sucks too that you hear the "anouncer" talking about an "elk" during my run......? He never ONCE the entire day of racing, actually commented on what was going on. He just went around the parking lot with his mic, trying to make fun of kids.....(Moron).

Quit your crying about elevation and move damn it. I've been to Bandimere and I lived in Albuquerque.

Yeah, I'd take the 'burque and it's 5500ish altitude ANY DAY to the damm hot weather of places like Phoenix......you really suck though, because you're in Cali
