First impression out the box this think is smooooth, thats the first thing you notice then you begin to stare how everything is placed on it and you picture it actually fitting in with the stock linkage. but damn you want to sleep with this thing! hehe check it out




install of the shifter is relatively easy as long as you can follow directions so a step by step install was made so install will be very detailed, its basically about replacing where the stock lever is with this super lever, although all the little pieces that are combined with the stock unit will be used again on the pspec unit. this is where i begin the install, taking apart the armrest area which is are simple as taking out the bolts inside the armrest and the ones under the cup holder..

after all was said and done the shifter was finally in place and screwed in, it was such a huge difference in feel when the gears go in, meaning there is no hesatation like i would get with my cut down shifter w/ B&M adapter and i had the adapter on the middle hole since on the 3rd one 5th gear would not even go in.

one thing to notice is that i had a hard time getting into reverse i would acutally have to struggle at times, i swear i thought my tranny was gone (haha)
and i always sit in my friends civic hatch's and play with their shifter and wish mines were that smooth well guess what the shifts feel like an accord but noticebly way smoother and the gears do go right in!!

getting a type R style shift boot is recommended and pspec might be able to provide them but it will make everything much nicer looking.

FINAL THOUGHTS -> shifting is definitely an improvement, if you all wanted a shorter throw this is a definite improvement, so yes its worth it! no more tranny grinding, or clunky shifting, missing gears and oh god no that reverse gear!! haha

GB will end when we get about 20 people so hurry and get your lever! pete might decide to extend it but i will keep everyone posted. the stock **** should fit, all honda levers are universal so no probs there.

 

I'm pretty set on getting one at the GB price of $99+S/H. But any idea how the 4th gen prelude shift lever will compare? I'm curious as to which to buy... since the 4thlude/5th gen accord levers are swapable, I'm wondering if shifting will be nicer using the lude lever...

whatever the oem levers do is all good, but you got to remember they are not short throw, they have long *** stock throws, this has a short throw but the placement of the shift rod is in front of the lever so the shifts are way positive and they slide right into gear, plus it places it up so thats what cuts down the throws. no more grinds peeps! hehe

 

no no, not that. I emailed and the man told me he was developing a short-throw shifter for the 4th gen lude as well. I was wondering how his upcoming product for it will work swapped into a 5th gen accord.

 

ahhh, prob same consept so i would say just get the respecting lever to the corresponding car.

Hello everyone. Im Pete. I am the owner of PSPEC. To answer your questions, the 4th gen lude lever is still under development. The 5th gen accord lever does not fit in the 4th gen Accord to my knowlege. I will keep posting at the boards as I make new products to keep everyone informed on how things are going.

I have a question:



from your pictures, and pete's tutorial, you guys both have the part #11 shift linkage. I have the part #10 one. Do you guys have any idea why they are different? I drive a 94 EX, what trim do you guys have?

 

that piece is basically the neutral guide piece (gotta love my words) either way the shift lever will work because the piece they both need is based on #17 which is where the lever connects to with that little ball on a stick on the bottom, which is like a guide, i guess its something they improved upon in the 95 model, but not like anyone has ever had problems with 94 shifters you are the first to bring this up to my attention.
