why do people have itr 5-lug conversions?
beacuse you can use the ITR brakes which are HUGE compared to stock civic ones. Plus if you have a b series swap, you need the integra springs rates so ur suspension will handle the added weight. And maybe cuz it looks siick!
brakes are better
all suspension bushings are stiff/stiffer than aftermarket poly units w/o the noise
they're newer and in better shape than most civic pieces
it looks neat
EK owners can sell the shocks and LCAs and even the heavy ITR wheels and thereby have a cheap break upgrade
etc etc..
i know "wat" itr means

I love seeing civic with the 5 lug conversion...but sometimes I'm not too big of a fan for it. I mean, it looks super dope, and how tight would it be to have a 94 civic HB with Mf10's!?...but, the much bigger rotors make for more circulating mass, which lets you put less power to the ground...but I guess it depends on what you're doing. Don't get me wrong, I would love to go all ITR suspension if I had the money...but there are the downsides to it.
simple.........Bling Bling factor.
Someone who owns a 5 lug on a hatch summed it up perfect on
this board (can't remember who said it)
75% looks

Its not all simple "bling bling factor." I did 5lug conversion on my GSR. It improves your brakes significantly. It also pushes out each wheel about 3mm. This gives it a wider wheel base for better handling characteristics.
so how much they usually goes for? I have no idea how much they should sell for since I am helping my friend to get rid of his entire 5-lug conversion with stock R dampers and springs and white R rims adn tires, can you guys give me some idea how much they should go? thx
1000-1200 with out rims 1200 - 1600 the most with rims. i was going to get the 5 lug for my hatch but gsr suspetion is good enough for me

really???????
really???????
Here is my 5-lug for an example..I did it all myself, took about a day to bolt everything up (cause i had power tools)..the hardest part about the swap is upgrading your master cylinder( from a 95 GSR) and proportioning valve(4040) and rebending and cutting and re-flaring 1 brake hard line...other than that it's piece of cake!!
first is a pic of stock DX Civic coupe brakes..very puny..will not stop a B-series
a pic of me and what was left of the puny disc brake removal..
a pic of the big brake put on with SS lines..
a pic of my buddy with power tools and a spare garage to work to let me work on my car...
and the finished product!!!
