I used to have the N1 on my 2000 ex (before it was stolen) but mine used to rattle at lower rpms. there are 2 things you can do: check under the car, if the B-pipe on the exhaust has 2 hangers on it, try to switch to the opposite one that is on your car (from left to right, or right to left), I've read that people with 96-00 civics often are able to switch from left to right, and this gives the s-pipe a little more clearance. If you can't do this, you'll need to bend the exhaust hangers a little bit. You can either do this yourself, or take it to any reputable muffler shop around your area. should be around $20 or less for this. i know mine used to bang against my gas tank until about 3k rpms. i had to have the hangers bent; i didn't know about switching the sides at the time. then my car was stolen. anyway, i'm on my way to getting another n1! Hope this helps! peace out

WS's rub the heat shield for the gas tank. They all seem to do it. You can wrap the section of the Z pipe that's rubbing with some header wrap, or put a large stainless band clamp around the sheild AND the Z pipe to keep them together, or ideally, do both. You'd think as many of these as they've sold, they'd have improved the design by now.

My WS rubs the gas tank too. I'm sure it's a easy fix if you bring it to a muffler shop. I did make some extra space by switching the rubber hangers but at low rpm's mine still sometimes rubs.

well i figured out what is wrong its the heat shield from the header.. thats around the stock one... it stuck to the header itself.. from the new exhaust ...
