Master Cylinder Question: What the difference btw. these two?
What's the difference btw. master cylinder #1 and 2... my GSR has #1. The search on the
http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net site yielded these results.
Also, my pedal sinks slowly and I would like to know what seals, parts etc. I could replace short of purchasing the entire master cylinder assembly? Any insight or suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure what the difference is. The one on the left looks like mine and I have ABS. Not sure on the one to the right.. maybe without ABS. Yeah if your pedal starts sinking, you can try to re-bleed the lines. If that doesnt work then your master cylinder is shot.
looks like the main difference is where the lines are.
my '99 has #2

try getting an MC Brace...this is one of those mods that no one talks about but does worlds of difference.

There is really no difference between the two. like Tweakmeister said, just the lines.
MC #1 are the older style MCs, and MC #2 are on the newer 99+ i think.
I would love to get a MC brace too, but don't know where?

It isolates the MC and booster and stiffens the structure, thus improving pedal feel and decreasing flex at the firewall. Some individuals will debate it's effectiveness, but it's an additional benefit to those people who've already done the brake MC upgrades, fluids, pads, etc.

as far as i know, doesnt' matter which one you get, B-Series should bolt right on.

It's kinda evident on the parts diaghram also if you look at the two master cylinders where the bolt patterns are at.
It's in the '98+ models that have the non-round reservoirs.

Well, I hadn't looked at the diagram, I just bought it from a H-T member not knowing they had changed after 98. I thought all 3G DCs used the same ones.
