I pay $923 a year, full coverage, clean record, 27 years old. for my 2001 S2000

I pay $800 a year full coverage for my 1995 DX Honda Civic...wierd huh?

 

Paying $1600 a year, and I'm 25 with a clean record.

 

$2800/ year, 2 points... pretty messed up huh? but i live very close to NYC, so that explains why...

 

My insurance dropped when I got my S2000. My last car was an 01 Type R. The Insurance rating on the R was a 24, and the S is a 16 I think. The higher the IRG number the more you pay......I was very happy when I heard this.

 

Insurance varies with age, town, neighborhood, driving record, and a whole lot of other things. Someone else's rate has nothing to do with what you will pay.

You can find out how much it will cost to insure an S2000 by calling your agent or insurance company, or by using an internet service like http://www.insweb.com You can do this without actually buying the car - and it's a good idea, too - find out how much it will cost you to own it before you actually go through with the purchase.

 

damn you guys pay a lot... i wonder how much it would be for 91-95 nsx around 23-25 w/ clean record....

Rdriver, what do you mean by IRG number? I also can't really believe that an ITR cost more than an S2000.

 

Basically it means the R is a high risk car to insure. (more get stolen, and wrecked)
