Who has a Type R over 1500 (a.k.a. who has the highest numbered R)

Did they every cross over in the 2000s
I remember when I decided to buy mine, I called the local Acura dealer, and the rep said they stoped making them, and there would be no more shipments. So then I called the Acura dealer in DC which is the biggest dealer in NorthAmerica I believe, and the guy there said the same thing, but he said he had a list of special orders and since I talked to him a few months prior, he could sneak me on. When I went to pick it up a few months later, around 15 people were also on the list. I was 1492. So I doubt it goes past 1550 or so for the 2000 year.

I have yet to see anyone with a duplicate number in that year. So I'm guessing Honda numbers the cars as they come off of the assembly line regardless of where it is going.
for example the assembly line might be like this:
Euro R #123, Canadian R #124, USDM R #125, JDM R #126...etc.

I am #1564 py in socali
so does that mean my car was made with extra parts?
They were like " Hey, we have some left over parts. Let just put another one together!"
oh yeah i got a 2000

This whole numbering thing is impossible to figure out. My griend and I each bought our R's at the dealership on the same day, both from the same shipment. The last shipment that Scotsdale Acura got for the 2001 year. You figure our numbers would be consecutive, but he got #mid-1200's and I ended up with #761. Maybe it made a difference that I'm NBP and he's PY?

That is high!
