Default Corbeau TRS seat Vs Recaro SRD (bang for buck?)

I have been considering getting the Corbeau TRS (http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/TRS.shtml) seat because it looks simmilar to the recaro srd (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=260187) seat and is aprox. 1/2 the cost

Corbeau, is an excellent seat for the money, do a simple cost to other factors analysis. my opinion would be to go with Recaro as it is a very well respected German company that has built seats for many decades, their products are ususally will be of higher quality.

recaro srds/jdm typeR are probably the most uncomfortable seats in the world... they are designed for like 5'2 100lb guys .... everytime i sit in it my nuts hurt i hate those seats with a passion...

I was considering the Wide version Of the TRS seat, But I don't know if it would be too loose , while the regular...too tight. I am aprox 5 11'' 178lbs and built like a middleweight Kickboxer. I have pretty wide back. Does your build match mine pretty much ?

Ok your about my build, Did you get the "wide" version of the seat or regular? Did You find that the corbeau Lowered you down closer to the floor? ??? Do you believe at 5 10'' You would be able to wear a Helmet and have a Roll cage? Without your helmet being pushed toward the center of the vehicle?? What is involved if you wanted to run that seat w. honda seatbelt? Or does one have to get a harness? What is involved with mounting that particular one you are using?

I think It looks good for supressing lateral body movement in the shoulder blade support area. Hip and ribcage support looks decent, but the seat has Little if no thigh support whatsoever.
For that matter the TRS could benefit from having a lil more! But yet the TRS has way more than the A4! The Recaro Srd has perfect thigh support. Those side walls are nice an High! I think I am gonna go w/ the TRS in black. Wide version. As long as it has mounts for Oem honda seatbelt "female" recipient end.

one thing I didn't say in the PM I sent you is that I added 3 nuts to the mounting screws on the front of the seat to give it some tilt backwards to support my legs better. The seat sits lower then the Honda one and much flater so I just got longer auto grade bolts with some nuts to it. Simple thing to do and if you add a few to the rear you can lift the seat up.

I got the bolts and nuts from Pep Boys. Don't worry about the rust since I live on the coast in Florida and everything rusts down here.

I have sat in a few momo's and those felt ok. but not enough padding in the shoulder blade area. I felt the frame too easily!

Yeah, I wasnt too interested in mounting it like that. I want to do things the way they were designed to work.

If you don't mind me asking: How much was it for the whole seat setup: seat, rails and harness?
