I know that many of you on this board do not know me or any members of my race team well, but I still felt that this was an appropriate place to announce the great loss that our race team experienced this past weekend:
ICY/SL Racing is very saddened to release news that its long-time Crew Chief, Randy Wilmore was killed today in a motorcycle accident. To say Randy will be missed is a gross understatement. He was much more than a crew chief. He was a close and trusted friend to each and every member of the team, and he was a mentor to the many Inner City Youth kids who, over the years, spent long hours working with him at the shop.
No-one worked harder or cared more about his drivers, his crew and winning than Randy. Racecars designed and built by Randy are currently winning in SCCA World Challenge Touring (Mazda Protégé) and Grand Am Cup STI (BMW Z3). In his last Rolex Grand Am race at Watkins Glen this summer, he put the ICY/SL AGT Corvette on the podium with a second place finish. He was talented, caring and in every sense, the heartbeat of the ICY/SL Team.
Pursuant to Randy’s directions, ICY/SL Racing will be establishing a fund for donations to made for the benefit of Randy’s children. ICY/SL Racing will release as soon as possible additional details of Randy’s funeral arrangements and the benefit fund. In the meantime, your prayers would be appreciated for Randy, his family and those feeling the pain of his loss.
Thank you.
Rest in Peace, Randy. I'll miss you...

I saw this quote somewhere on this board. I think it's appropriate...
"All men die, but few actually live"
Here's to your friend
