Is anybody running a ZC with nitrous, if so how do you like it and is it fast? Just debating whether or not to get a Zex kit for the ZC. Thanks

 

i know people who have done this. needless to say, they are unable to drive their cars right now due to BLOWN motors. ZC's don't like 75 shots.

I dont think he means the dohc zc, a y8 head would only fit on to a sohc block.

 

no right now i have a sohc zc bottom end with a y8 head, but the block says zc with a vtec head its pretty cool. Kinda runs like crap lots of tuning issues. Sorry to throw you off. Hey 'pelotudo' how do you like your Dohc ZC? Is it fast and worth it cause I am getting really sick of this mini me it is having too many problems. thanks

Could we just bore out a bit and sleeve the cylinders? to give a little strength for NOS? Would that help.... How much do shops charge to sleeve a 4cyl block?

A guy I know was running a 89 zc long block with some mods (cams,pullys,ecu,MSD, some other little things) and with slicks his best time ever was a 13.7 with a 50 shot of zex. It was pretty damn quick. It finally blew this last month, he ran it like that for over a year. Best time Ive ever heard of with a zc. Not sure how he tuned it, but he worked on it all the time. Now hes putting a teg type r motor in his civic, got it started a few days ago. But thats another story...............
